The escapement has been altered to an anchor from the verge, the dial is clean having original silvering which is pitted and marked in areas. The case is in good condition, the inner masking has patched veneers around the edge of the movement, and the door locks to the front and rear are missing and have been patched with a later timber.

The glass in the front door is damaged. The movement is original to case and dial. The painted dial has original ground, the numerlas have been touched up in places and the ground has light surface scratches.

The case has splits in the sides of the trunk, and a shrinkage crack on the base panel, the movement is complete and working but may need a service.

The arched case with hinged doors and carrying handle to the top.38cm high handle down.The Georgian mahogany case has a small patch to the bottom of the front door and a small piece of moulding missing from the arch of the back of the case. The movement is original to the dial but associated with the case. It is in working condition ticking and striking correctly, it has an unusual striking mechanism where it strikes the hours on a large bell and also strikes the hours at half past on a smaller bell.

There is a tiny chip to the top corner of the back door glass, no other damaged panels. No cracks, chips, or restoration to the dial. the movement is complete, the balance wheel isn't rotating but the staff isn't damaged. The strike and repeat mechanism is working but not striking the correct hours. Can't see any makers marks.

The dial has fine stress cracks and some discolouration to the silvering. The movement, which is original to case and dial, has been converted from verge to anchor escapment and is ticking but the strike isn't stopping sand will need attention.

The case has some detached mouldings above the door which are present. The movement is running and striking the correct hours, repeating the correct quarters. The back cock looks to have been replaced and the strike silent lever is missing. The verge escapement has probably been reconverted but if so has been done very well with no signs of plugged holes. The pull quarter repeat mechanism loos to be original to the clock and so do the brackets, they are made from the same coloured brass.

The movement is original to the case and is complete with the original seatboard. The movement is very dirty but is working and sounds nice when chiming. It will need cleaning and servicing. Comes with weights and pendulum. A very nice honest clock.

The movement is ticking but the striking mechanism will need attention as it doesn't stop striking. The carrying case is original to the clock and in good condition other than the carrying handle has snapped.

A GEORGE III EBONISED DOUBLE FUSEE VERGE BRACKET CLOCK the bell top pediment above a glazed door fronting an 8" silvered dial with foliate engraved spandrels and Roman numerals surrounding a signed centre with calendar aperture, the arch with Strike/Silent dial fronting an eight-day double fusee movement with five knopped pillars, verge escapement and foliate engraved backplate striking the hours on a bell48cm high not including handleThe case is in good condition, with minor surface scratches consistent with age, the original ebonised finish and sound frets to the front and sides have been replaced, and some slight discolouration to the silver on the dial. The hands have been possibly replaced. The movement which is original to the dial and case has its original verge escapement and looks to have been recently serviced and is in nice working condition striking the correct hours, and comes with winding keys and door keys.

A GEORGE III DOUBLE FUSEE BRACKET CLOCK the ebonised break arch case with brass fish scale sound frets and hinged handle above a 6.5" painted arched dial with Roman numerals and subsidiary Strike/Silent dial fronting a signed eight-day double fusee five pillar movement striking the hours on a bell37.5cm highGood original clock, case is in very nice condition with an original ebonised finish. Would benefit from wax. the dial has its original paint which is crazed but stable, there is a small area of repair at 8 o'clock where the dial foot would be attached. The hands are original, and the quality movement is original to the case and dial and is complete. Ticks when wound and strikes/repeats the correct hours. Missing door key. The movement is dirty and will require a service.

A LATE 19TH CENTURY FIGURED MAHOGANY REGULATOR LONGCASE CLOCK the case with moulded pediment above a glazed door and side doors, the trunk with bevelled glass door and feathered backboard on a rectangular base with panelled centre and squat bun feet. The 10" silvered engraved dial having an outer minute ring surrounding a subsidiary seconds and hour dial, the winding arbour to the centre of the hour dial fronting an eight-day weight driven movement with deadbeat escapement, jewelled pallets and end stops, six-spoke wheel work and Harrison maintaing power run on a large and heavy compensated pendulum with Invar rod and large brass bob all mounted on a brass bracket fitted to the backboard204cm highThe clock has come from a retired jewellers in Preston. They have serviced it regularly and was working when we removed it from the premises. The case has a few small knocks on the mouldings and two small splits on the trunk door. Images have been uploaded. The dial has light marks on the silvering. The movement is clean and in good working condition with original pendulum. Comes with winding key and door keys.
