The dial is crazed. The glass in the hood has been reattached and there are some cracks and evidence of woodworm to the wooden surround. The inlay at the top of the hood may have been repaired. The lock in the body is modern. Please see additional uploaded images.

Lot 376A

French Empire mahogany rosewood and parcel gilt display cabinet, inverted breakfront frieze to the upper section, two glazed doors, flanked by lustre strips, scrolled capitals, fluted plinths, the matched table base with a white marble top (broken), monopod supports, in the Egyptianesque taste, with a low under-shelf, overall width 143cm, depth 55cm, height 190cm.Condition report:The top is not removable, please see the added photos online. The marble is split almost in the centre and has old discolouration surrounding the fracture line. A shallow chip to the front left marble corner. Two of the mirrored panels to the interior left hand side are xmcracked. The mirror panels elsewhere are flaking/ peeling in random places, including the lower mirror back. Sections of moulding are loose and present although two lengths remain missing to each side (behind the marble, the right hand side with a painted replacement). The mounts and gilt mouldings are all a little tired. The lower shelf is split across the middle. Scratches and scuffs to the right hand cupboard and right hand side. No key, lock mechanism is "locked" but door is open so you can't close the door flush.

Vienna walnut cased wall clock, ivorine dial, with subsidiary second dial (defective) triple weight-driven movement, by Gustav Becker, case with eagle and balustraded pediment piece, fluted pilaster strips, flanking a glazed panelled door, gadrooned pendant piece, overall height 140cm.Condition report:The second dial is missing the hands, the top-left edge is detached, and there is damage to the eagle wing. The clock is untested. Light wear and rubbing to all edges.

Condition report:Some repairs to the pediment and mouldings on the hood, dial has monir discolouration, again some monor repairs to the moulding on the trink and visible old splits to the sides, has a peneulum, weights, winding key and door key. movement doesnt currently but needs to be properly set up where it will stay for some time.
