Judaica:- a Polish silver spice tower by M. Kharlap, Warsaw, 1886, body engraved with band of Greek key decoration, domed pedestal base on three fruiting vine feet, the steeple resting on four eagles above a structure with ropework supports with bell dependent, capped by a ball finial below a pennant, the door engraved with diaperwork, marked on door, pennant and foot, 27 cm high, Provenance:- South Portland Street Synagogue, The Gorbals, GlasgowIn good order but lacking the 4 bells dependent from lower body, 3 of the 4 rings to take bells are present but one ring is absent
James Gowland. A fine large gilt brass cased carriage style mantel clock by James Gowland, 32, London Wall, with canted corner pillars and gilt panels engraved overall with scrolling and flowerheads, the faceted bar handle on tooled scroll supports and having a silvered dial with black Roman numerals. Ht. 20cm., handle raised.Excellent general condition, movement apparently complete but not working . No key. Back steel door lock has been forced but door undamaged.
