An early 19th Century mahogany linen press, the upper section with dentil cornice over two panelled cupboard doors enclosing a hanging rail (formerly with linen drawers) over three long drawers on bracket feet, 125 cm wide x 56 cm deep x 211 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Whilst basically sound, the piece has several areas of wear and tear conducive with age and use. Cornice with denting and loss in certain areas. Dentil cornice section with two teeth missing to the left hand corner - ditto right hand corner. Top also has several splits throughout. Some scratching to the centre of the left hand door. The panels slightly warped and with some discolouration. Splits and fading to the doors and some patching. Cupboard has been converted to hanging space. Drawers are missing. Moulding is missing off on the right hand side of the base however is extent. There is no key. Two large scuffs where the top doors open and there is a 1.5" crack on the right hand door centre. Otherwise wear and tear conducive with age and use throughout. See images for examples of splits, knocks, bumps, denting, scratching and minor areas of loss to veneers.

A 20th Century Indonesian relief-work decorated two-door cupboard with drawer on scroll feet (with some old damage and repairs), 103.5 cm wide x 50 cm deep x 187.5 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Has various splits, etc throughout especially noticeable to the two panelled doors. The mouldings on the left hand side are off but majority appear to be present in a bag. No shelves to the interior. There is a bit of moulding off but present on the right hand side. Various losses, knocks, bumps, etc, throughout. There is some paint on the left hand side of the drawer, Right hand door is a bit sticky. Otherwise general wear and tear conducive with age and use. A Victorian mahogany triple wardrobe with central cupboard doors enclosing five linen shelves over two short and two long drawers flanked by two hanging cupboards, one with boot compartment, 247.5 cm wide x 65.5 cm deep x 215 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Overall basically sound and in good condition though with some signs of wear and tear conducive with age and use. Handles to centre section appear painted to simulate figured mahogany - ditto hanging cupboard handles. Drawer handles however, appear original. Small section of veneer missing to left hand side centre door just below hinge. Some veneers missing to top left of side panel but overall generally good condition with signs of wear and tear conducive with age and use. NB hanging rails to both sides modern replacements.

An 18th Century Boulle work tabletop cabinet, the caddy top with secret rising lid over a central door within a bank of seven drawers, each with figural or panelled decoration in the Classical style, 73.5 cm wide x 36 cm deep x 53.5 cm high, together with a letter from Henry Street to Francis Gibson Esq (Banker and Businessman 1805-1858), dated London 3/10/35 (18) relating to the delivery of the piece and its purported provenance as having been once the property of Marie Louise (Josephine), the wife of Emperor Napoleon as follows: "Sir, On receipt of your letter I sent my brother to the Vine Bishopsgate Street to know the cause of the delay in sending the cabinet to you and he received the answer that it was forwarded by Byatts Waggon and would be received as last night it was sent to the Vine Inn on Saturday last with strict instructions to the bookkeeper to forward it by the earliest conveyance therefore the fault lies with him. I do assure you Sir that I am very sorry that the unnecessary delay should have happened and hope it will arrive quite safe. I was informed originally it came from the Chateau Malmaison and was formally the property of Marie Louise the wife of NapoleonI am SirYours most respectfullyHenry StreetBrewer Street, Golden Squareto the front "Francis Gibson Esq, Saffron Walden, Essex"and with handwritten paper label inscribed "Buhl Cabinet (Malmaison)" CONDITION REPORTS Various areas of boulle work are missing / risen. Some have been re-attached in various places. Areas of patching. On the central door, the brass work has some kind of corrosion present - there are areas of some other panels too but more obvious here. The lock on the middle drawer on the left hand side is not working properly and therefore permanently open. Internal hinges on the lid appear to be replacements. There are knocks, stains, some areas of veneer lifting, cracks, etc to the exterior of the lid. Areas of mould / mildew like substance to the interior of the top cupboard and staining on the wood. Signs of old worm especially to the front corners. The two top drawers - the central panels appear to have been replacements and possibly not tortoiseshell though they do have the appearance of tortoiseshell. General wear and tear conducive with age and use. See images for more detail.

A circa 1900 pine dresser, the boarded three section upper shelf unit with arched decoration over three pairs of panelled cupboard doors, raised on a plinth base, 322 cm wide x 63.5 cm deep x 244 cm high CONDITION REPORTS The top and base appear to be a marriage. The top of the base comes off and there is a secondary top / worktop that goes in around a Belfast sink. Has had some repairs. Top possibly had doors at some point which have been removed and filled. Top arches are replacements. The base has water marks on it throughout. Some splits, knocks, areas missing. One cupboard door on the left hand side - unable to open - appears to be locked. No key evident. Solid and sound in structure. General wear and tear conducive with age and use. See images for more detail.

A modern Indonesian black and gold lacquered two-door wardrobe decorated with figural panels, 88.3 cm wide x 34 cm deep x 151.5 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Some knocks and bumps on the extremities and possible repairs although this may have been done during manufacture particularly to the top right hand corner of the door frame. There is some chipping to the lacquer near the hinge on the right hand door. Some cracking to the lacquer throughout. There is a piece missing (if ever there) on the bottom scrolling apron. Chips to the lacquer on the feet. Possible repair (slightly different coloured red lacquer) to the edge of the left hand door - again possibly done during production. Appears to be structurally sound. General wear and tear conducive with age and use. See images for more detail.

No key, locked open. veneer losses to base.splits in the hood at the joints . some joins on the hood the glue has dried and is now loose.damaged foot. Dial has some rubbed areas and wear. The mechanism appears clean and looks as if there has been work done on it in the past. pulley wheel has been replaced.We cannot guarantee the clock runs.
