A George III long case mahogany moon phase clock with white painted dial, signed Whitern Abingdon, subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, Roman and Arabic numerals with gilt and enamel decoration, encased by a swan neck pediment, later carved finials, floral marquetry, supported by Corinthian columns, classical depiction of Flora to door, urns, festoons, etc, 240 cm H. Condition: overall is very good condition; mechanism had been in working order before removal from property, complete with weights, keys and pendulum

Good quality Victorian bracket clock raised on a full height platform base (resembling a longcase clock overall) the clock hood with blind fret detail, carved column supports and set beneath a carved pagoda top, the arched brass dial with silvered chapter ring, cast brass spandrels, regulator, chime, silent selector, the movement striking on eight bells and a gong, the lower case with full length door, applied geometric detail and raised on scrolled feet, the base od the case holds the label of William Bertram & Son, 100 - 101 Dean Street, Soho, 230cm high
