There is no spoon.   Section of the backboard is replaced.  The base has been rebuilt and the marquetry panel is not original but well matched.  There are two brass-cased weights, a winding crank key and a pendulum (of later date).

Nichols, Oundle, with later twin train striking movement, anchor escapement, case and movement associated218cm highCondition reportTogether with crank winding key and two brass-cased weights.  There is a brass bob pendulum.  As stated case and movement/dial are associated.The case is circa 1695 and with later elements due to damage and repair.   The hood’s pierced panel above the door is replaced with a later oak fillet.  The fillet around the inside of the door is replaced. The part just below the caddy may be later?   The main part of the case is relatively original.  The backboard is complete as are the internal side pieces.  The cheeks have been reduced and have later risers and an associated seatboard.  The front marquetry panel is about 66% present, the lost part now veneered in walnut. The plinth at the base is later.The movement and dial are associated and it would require a service to be in going condition.

The case has been repolished.  The door has a slight warp to it, pulling away at the top on the left edge.  The dial is lacquered brass, when once it would have been silvered.  There are some lines of corrosion to the surface.  The movement requires a service.  There is a pendulum, no key and two associated wrought-iron weights.

No. 6851, dated 1939The mahogany case with moulded dial surround and cast bezel, hinged side door and pendulum access door, 14in. painted dial with RAF insignia and tri-coloured sector ‘flags’, outer 12-hour chapters and inner 24-hour markings, within 5-minute marker ring, black painted steel spade hands, the chain fusée movement with anchor escapement, corn-coloured lacquered plates, four plain turned pillars, screwed to the backplate, stamped 6851 / F. W. ELLIOTT LTD. / ENGLAND / 1939, the reverse of the case also stamped A M between a crown / F. W. ELLIOTT Ltd. / 1939 and further stamped to the righthand side of the case at the base W. S between a crown47cm diam. overallCondition ReportWith its pendulum and a winding crank key.The clock appears in good original condition.  Some small joint movement to the wooden bezel. The side door fillet has been repaired and subsequently the door repolished.  The pendulum access door a possible replacement?  Evidence of repairs to the base here and re-polishing.  The polishing to the sides appears original and one can see a slight crazing to the surface of the polish supporting that.  The dial has some very slight chips to paint around the winding hole. Original surface overall with a cracquleur to the surface.  Possibly the RAF crest with some decoration refreshed?  The coloured sectors refreshed. The four pegs holding the dial surround to the case are not the originals.

A LATE WILLIAM IV/EARLY VICTORIAN MAHOGANY DROP-DIAL WALL CLOCKBy Vulliamy, London, No. 1829, circa 1840With cast brass glazed bezel, above the painted dial, with pierced blued steel moon hands, the signed fusée movement with rectangular plates and four turned pillars and anchor escapement36.5cm diameter; 47cm high Condition reportWith 12in brass pendulum.  The movement appears to have been ‘dipped’ when last cleaned and is now tarnsihed.  The dial is worn and requires restoration.   The case requires careful sympathetic restoration.  The drop front panel has a screw hole in its centre.  Veneer chips to the left side and to the underside.  A piece of fillet from the underside door is lost.  Some old white paint.  Some chips to the fillet overhang of the side door.  There is no key or case key.

A GEORGE III MAHOGANY TEN-INCH VERGE DIAL CLOCKBy Thomas Wagstaffe, London, circa 1780With a cast moulded glazed bezel, above signed silvered dial, with pierced blued steel hands, the gut fusée movement with tapered plates and verge escapement, saltbox case with four steel pins32cm diameter overall.Thomas Wagstaff is recorded working at Carey Street and Gracechurch Street 1756-93.Condition reportIn good overall condition.  The movement appears to have been cleaned fairly recently.  The dial silvering is not worn.  Side and base door hinges are modern replacements.  The oak fillets to each panel appear to have been replaced.  There is no winding key.  The shape of the arched top and apron on the salt box are usual.  Whilst the oak of the box is old, is this possibly a replacement?

A GEORGE III MAHOGANY DIAL CLOCKThe dial signed James Houghton, SouthwarkThe case with a moulded dial rim and cast brass glazed bezel above an 11 3/4in circular brass dial, signed, with steel spade hands, the gut fusée movement with tapering plates with anchor escapement (formerly verge), dial surround and case possibly associated37cm diam; 40cm high overallCondition reportThere is a steel winding key and a key for the bezel lock.  The wooden bezel surround has a split at 11.30.  A split and repair at 9 o’clock and also at 3 o’clock.  Side door has chips to the side fillets.  The dial has lost its silvering.  As noted the dial surround and case are probably associated.  The movement has been converted to anchor escapement from a verge.

An Arts & Crafts Gothic Revival ash inlaid wardrobe, attributed to Charles Bevan, possibly designed for Marsh, Jones & Cribb, Leeds, the ecclesiastical cornice above a central mirrored door flanked by two geometrically inlaid doors, all enclosing a fitted interior with linen press slides and drawers, raised on plinth base, 231cm H x 180cm W x 55cm D, along with a conforming bedside cabinet (2) (at fault)Condition reportMultiple trefoil details missing from the cornice, beading missing from the top of the right and left hand sides below the cornice causing the cornice to tilt.Slight concave bow to both wardrobe doors, door also lacking a lock.All slides and drawers feel 'tight' due to damp.Minor split to the back boards, dry and faded patina to the LHS of the wardrobe with some joint splints to the plinth base.General evidence of damp throughout particularly to the base, although no visible evidence of woodworm.The bedroom suite was originally removed from a counties border farmhouse property in an untouched condition.The pot cupboard has a dull faded patina with damp damage to the plinth, very minor evidence of woodworm to the gallery.Both items will require a degree of restoration.

A Victorian style oak triple wardrobe, by Oakwood, Traditional Furniture, Chester, late 20th/early 21st century, the moulded cornice over three fielded panelled cupboard doors, upon polished 'H' brass hinges, the right hand door opening to three fitted drawers, with hanging rails to the double compartment, all upon a plinth base with integral ogee bracket feet, 214cm H x 184cm W x 66cm DWardrobe disassembles into five parts, cornice, plinth base and the three main sections.Width without cornice 171cmSolid oak rather than veneered.

A Scottish George III mahogany cased eight day longcase clock, signed David Hill, Edinburgh, the hood with a twin swan neck pediment over beaded brass mounts and a pair of brass embellished freestanding fluted pillars, flanking the 31cm silvered break arch dial, applied with Roman and Arabic numerals, silent/strike indicator and subsidiary seconds dial, signed with the makers name and enclosing the four pillar, two train movement striking on a saucer bell, over the shaped flame mahogany door and conforming quarter columns, canted lower board, 216cm high, two weights and pendulum

A mid 18th century oak cased eight day longcase clock, signed ‘E.Bullock, Ellesmere’ (Shropshire), the moulded cornice and tapering half pillars flanking the 31cm square brass dial, centred with a date and moon phase aperture, applied with Roman and Arabic numerals, signed with the makers name, enclosing the two train movement striking on a saucer bell, the profusely later carved case inset with a glazed circular viewing window, over a conforming lower board and bracket feet, 216cm high, two weights and pendulum, bezel diameter 26cmCondition reportGlass side panels and glass door appear to be later associated.Additional laths have been applied to the top of the backboard on both sides, along with runners and cut aways to the cheek pieces indicating a level of alteration/restoration.General tarnishing to the dial, movement is un-tested however appears dirty and dusty, evidence that it hasn't run for some time.Glass viewing aperture is later, hinges are also later with blocks added to the interior, the plinth base also appears to be later.Case with some minor chips and splits commensurate with age and use.Overall the case appears to have undergone a degree of restoration.

A thirty hour oak cased longcase clock, signed Thomas Lister, mid to late 18th century, the moulded cornice over a pair of freestanding pillars flanking the 31cm silvered and brass dial, applied with Roman and Arabic numerals, centered with a 'half penny' moon phase aperture, along with a date aperture and the makers name, enclosing the thirty hour movement striking on a saucer bell, the oak case with conforming quarter pilasters flanking the arched door, 211cm high, weight and pendulum

An oak cased thirty hour longcase clock, signed Phillips, Ashburne, the 28cm square brass dial applied with Roman and Arabic numerals, centred with a date aperture and signed with the makers name, the thirty hour movement striking on a saucer bell, to a cross banded oak case with an arched door and plain lower board, 200cm high, weight and pendulum

RH edge has a rough sawn finish opposed to the cleated LH edge.General minor chips marks and losses to the drawer fronts, the bottom LH drawer has a split in the drawer liner, later added braces to the interior and subsequently feels tight, all other drawers run smoothly.The dresser appears to be structurally sound however it would benefit from a 'clean and tidy'.
