A 19th century oak, mahogany and burr walnut cased thirty hour longcase clock, the 30cm (12") square enamel dial with Roman numerals, semi-circular date aperture and painted decoration signed Joshua Gibbs, Souldern, with burr walnut swan neck pediment, square door flanked by turned columns, the mahogany crossbanded panel door with inlaid decoration flanked by reeded columns, on bracket feet, height 203cm. Joshua Gibbs is listed in Brian Loomes Watchmakers and Clockmakers of The World Volume II as being active between 1805 and 1855 in Deddington and Souldern (Oxon) (case af and in need of restoration).

Eddy and Sons Co, Boston Massachusetts, the upper compartment with zinc lining and enclosed by two hinged lids, the lower compartment enclosed by a single panel door and with zinc lining and drainer, 68cm wide, 89cm high, and two laminated original labels.
