Good George I/II century red walnut bureau bookcase of small proportions, the upper section with moulded cornice and adjustable shelves enclosed by mirrored door with candle slide below, the base with sloping fall enclosing fitted interior, having four graduated drawers below, on bracket feet, 64cm wide x 52cm deep x 192cm high Mirrored plate is early and with some general deterioration, possibly original but not bevelled as might be anticipated metalwork is in keeping, plugs to drawer fronts suggest a previous scheme of handles. Minor splits to fall. Some suggestion of old restoration and general wear commensurate with age, but overall an attractive piece in good useable condition and no severe restoration/damage
