1957 Autopede carousel Bus Type 2 - the second Autopede bus model in succession. The bus could be supplied as a 3 window and as a 4 window version that is offered here with 8 seats for children and 2 steering wheels. Painted in "Mickey Mouse" theme. 1950s U.S. Marshall coin-op shooting arcade game manufactured by A. B. T. Manufacturing Co. Upon inserting a coin steel balls can be shot at targets that appear in the "Silver Dollar" saloon window, shooter gets ranked from "Corpse" to "U.S. Marshall" according to accuracy. Overall good condition, game works upon inserting a nickel and gun fires steel balls as intended but needs servicing, cash box door has been replaced, damage to top right of the back of the cabinet. A one of a kind coin-operated elephant with howdah gumball vending machine made in the Netherlands. The ornate arabic design is inspired by one of the most expensive chocolate vending machines in the world made by Sächsische Automaten & Türschließer AG, Dresden ca. 1900. The top is a lid that can be opened and the gum balls can be filled. Coin slot is on the front. At the back is a door with lock, where you get to the coin box. Coin box and key are present. A very nice 1980's Akura stereo system in the shape of a gigantic Coca-Cola can. The stereo system is built into the center of the can. At the front are two doors that can be opened. The speakers are incorporated in the doors. Close the door and it looks like a huge can. Open it up and play your music. The stereo system consists of a radio, cassette player and CD player. An Important Early 19th Century Mahogany Longcase Regulator, by Barwise of London, the 12ins diameter silvered dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, with central seconds over hour dials, within outer minute track, blued steel hands, to the eight day single train movement with six heavy turned pillars, the back plate with end stops and jewelled palettes, the metal pendulum rod with mercury compensated pendulum bob, single brass cased weight, contained in figured mahogany case inlaid with ebony stringings, with arched hood, glazed trunk door, panelled base, on plinth support, 73ins high Note: John Barwise 'Chronometer, Watch & Clock Makers to their Royal Highnesses the Dukes of York, Kent, Cumberland & Gloucester' 29 St Martin's Lane, London. John Barwise was the son of a clockmaker from Cockermouth. He is recorded as working in London from circa 1790, a fine maker of clocks, chronometers and watches. In 1805 he was one of fifteen watchmakers selected by the board of Longitude to adjudicate in the dispute between Thomas Earnshaw and John Arnold. His sons, John II and Weston joined the firm and between 1819 and 1823 they traded as Barwise & Sons. Shortly after, the firm obtained a Royal Warrant as watchmakers to King George IV. John Barwise senior died in 1820. The business continued in the partnership of his sons, but Weston died in 1826, leaving it in the hands of John II alone.
