(UN-RECORDED) A 19TH-CENTURY COUNTRY OAK-CASED 30 HOUR LONG-CASE CLOCK, having a moulded flat hood with square door between plain columns, long trunk door and moulded base on bracket feet, the painted dial with Roman hours and Arabic minutes framing a crescent form date aperture, the dial inscribed WEYYSS, APPLEBY. 197cm high (77.5in). Sold with weight and pendulum.
A Continental painted mahogany wall cabinet, 19th century. Pair panelled door with pressed copper medallions of a male and a female, with pair of short drawers to the base. Inside fitted with a recess and three rows of short drawers. Later painted moss green. 63x49cm. Also a brass reeded column table lamp, 20th century, 58cm high. (2)
A fine late 19th century French ormolu mounted mahogany vitrine in Louis XVI style, with glazed door above door with Vernis Martin panel, brass maker's label for V Raulin in 1878. Victor Raulin took over his father's business specialising in marquetry and lacquer furniture in the 18th century taste. He exhibited at the Paris 1878 and 1889 Expositions Universelles and was awarded silver medals each time. The firm was established at Rue de Turenne and later moved to the Boulevard Saint-Germain in 1882 where he remained until 1925
An Edwardian inlaid figured mahogany five-piece bedroom suite of triple compactum wardrobe with moulded cornice over central oval mirror panel door flanked by break-arch panel fronted cupboards over two drawers to each side 208cm high 198cm wide 61cm deep; bowfront dressing chest with triptych mirror over two short and three long drawers; bedside locker; and pair of bedroom chairs with woven cane seats; and a non matching oval swing dressing table mirror (6).
