A Biedermeier flame mahogany secretaire abatant. With stepped cupboard top having arched door and pilaster supports. With weighted fall front revealing the fitted interior, having mother of pearl escutcheons and raised on turned toupie feet, 195cm high, 113cm wide, 51cm deep. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. Some previous wood worm damage to the back. Polish original but faded. Some veneer cracks.
A 19th century tea caddy modelled in the form of a double fronted cottage with pitched roof having two chimney stacks and a central dormer window. With painted roof tiles, leaded windows, red panelled door and bushes over a pale ochre ground. Housing two compartments each with turned bone button knops, 18.25cm wide. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. No breaks. Some wear only. Sold with key. Lock functioning.
A brass cased carriage clock. With platform escapement and repeating mechanism striking on a gong. With enamel dial having Roman numeral markers and Arabic minute markers. Works stamped V. R. A George IV birds eye maple credenza by Thomas Seddon of London. Having a central glazed bookcase flanked by a pair of open quarter round shelves. With white marble top, parcel gilding and marquetry inlaid pilasters. Stamped T. Seddon, London to the door, 135cm wide, 42cm deep, 96cm high. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. Some scuffs and chips to the marble, would benefit from cleaning. Light wear and chips to the gilding.
A Regency rosewood fitted sewing cabinet of sarcophagus form. With turned quarter mouldings and mother of pearl inlay, 35cm high. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. Hinged lid with a section of beading replaced and piece of mother of pearl lacking on the rear band. Right door with replaced escutcheon and small inlay detail. Polish original and only very slightly tired. Internal parts in fair condition, some wear. No key.
A Flemish ebony cabinet with gilt-ground painting, Antwerp, 17th C. Dim.: 72 x 68,5 x 45 cm (closed) The cabinet consisting of two doors above a drawer to the lower section, concealing nine inner drawers. Behind the central door is a removable compartment with twelve further drawers behind it. The interior painted with allegories in the manner of Frans Francken II.
A collection of various china wares to include a Hadley's faience Worcester pot pourri vase and cover, a similar vase, Royal Worcester figurine "The Golden Jubilee Ball Splendour at Court", limited edition No'd. 3682/12500, sculpted by John Bromley, two Spanish Lladro style figures and a pot lid "Charity", together with various door furniture, etc CONDITION REPORTS The handles on the pot pourri vase and cover have some slight chipping to the edges, the stem vase has a large chip to the rim and the neck has been broken and repaired. Crazing all over to include some discolouration and surface scratches etc. Height of pot pourri including lid is approx 7.5 cm. The stem vase is approx 8.5 cm. Pot lid is badly crazed with some chipping to the underside and some blue discolouration to the underside. The Worcester figure has some small chips, the figure of the child lying down has had its' head off and re-glued. Advise viewing door furniture in person - all items have general wear and tear including some surface scratching, light chips etc and all are in need of a good clean - see images for further details
A Victorian oak and carved writing table, raised on carved and turned legs and turned stretchered base together with a 19th Century oak corner cabinet with single panelled door and a pine coffer of simple form CONDITION REPORTS Desk inset top replacement and is peeling away, badly cut and very tatty. The frame has various, scratches, knocks, chips etc with some white splatted paint type marks all over. Drawer bases need attention as do the drawers as a whole.
