A French Louis XVI king wood marquetry inlaid cabinet having marble top and gilt metal mounts. W117cm D42cm H107cm.Condition: Split to right side. Split on front panel of door leading to some minor loss of veneer. split on right panel from rose moulding going down. Wear, dents to brass rail around top edge. A few minor chips to marble top. Large split in door visible from both sides. Stains/spillages, dirt across the front.
A Victorian Westminster & Cambridge chime 8 day long case clock having brass steel dial, marquetry inlaid mahogany case with brass mounted and fluted Corinthian columns, pierced side panels and dentilated swan neck pediment with five turned finials. H259cm.Condition: A couple of cracks to the inner hood where hood meets brass dial. A couple of splits to case at the bottom as picured. A small triangular (1cm x 1cm) piece missing on bottom right edge of case. Chips to the top of 2 finials. There are a number of areas of stress or minor splits to veneer around the frame of hood door. The glass has been replaced at some point. General wear to brass dial. No signs of major damage nor repair. Overall appearance is good, needs a clean. Key, case door key, weights and pendulum all present.
A 19th Century 8 day oak tavern clock. Diam. 35cm H143cm.Condition: The glass has been replaced at some point. There are a couple of areas of repair to include a minor repair to top left edge of trunk door and to hood around the edge of door. A split present where sections of oak meet down right side of case. Genral wear to enamel dial, few chips around bottom edge of dial (not visible when hood is on). Weights, pendulum and case key all present. No clock key present. Not as yet had clock running.
Large late 19th Century French brass carriage clock with presentation inscription: 'Presented to Captain David Laidlaw on the Occasion of his Marriage by the Officers and Boys of the 60th Glasgow Company Boys Brigade, 12th October, 1892', having enamelled dial and original leather carrying case. CONDITION REPORT: Door is mis-shapen and recessed. Some wear to gilding. One glass cracked. Material is gilt brass. The clock winds and ticks but we do not test if working. No warranty. Measurements: 13.2cm x 9cm approximately plus case. Weight is 1.3kg plus case.
