A superior quality Victorian marquetry inlaid burr walnut veneered credenza applied with gilt metal mounts The exotically figured top cross banded with birds eye maple between boxwood stringing, above corresponding frieze, the two central cupboard doors featuring intricate marquetry panels and enclosing a velvet lined interior, flanked on either side by fluted columns and bowed ends enclosed by glazed panel doors, width approx 190cm. (illustrated) CONDITION REPORT: Top- Water stain marks and veneer lifting, small loss of veneer, scratches and dents, splits to top and edging, inset veneer section. Front Left door- Mark to top left hand corner (see image) Frame- Small loss to veneer, scratches. Middle Doors- Inlay lifted a little, top of left door stamped, metal mounts all present, Corinthian column loose, marks to material. Top needs attention but otherwise in good condition.
