Edinburgh: "Printed by James Watson, Sold by John Vallange" [parts II & III: "and Sold at his Shop next Door to the Red-Lyon, opposite to the Lucken-booths"], 1706-11. 3 parts in one volume [all published]. 8vo in 4s (168 x 100mm). (Occasional light spotting, staining and browning, pagination occasionally cropped.) 19th-century burgundy morocco gilt, gilt edges (extremities rubbed). Provenance: old illegible signature on title. FIRST EDITION of the first known anthology of Scottish poetry. Part III contains a poem entitled "The Tunnice-Court." Although the book ends with the words "The End of the First Volume", no other parts were published.

Brass pulls, black felts throughout, drop-front door, no key. In good working order but needs a good clean as residue from tape around sides.
