A fine 18th Century walnut eight-day longcase clock, Aynsworth Thwaites, London with strike/silent to the arch decorated spandrels, seconds dial and date aperture, the dial signed Aynsth Thwaites, the case with three ball finials and enclosed by an arch-top door, 237cm high/Provenance: Squadron Leader GT Stoneham, John Chivers Sale Perrott House, Pershore, Lot 315, Tuesday 14th March 1950 (original catalogue available)/see illustration CONDITION REPORT: The clock was in working order at the house and is in current working order in the sale room. The hood is split at the arch top and missing a return at the back of the left hand side. Case in good order.
