Triumph TR6 1973 with Overdrive - First registered in June 1973 is this UK model TR6 Fuel Injected with overdrive on its 4 speed gearbox. This car has been subject to a massive restoration by the current owner over a long period of years and now is an excellent example. Mileage showing is 4501, the original speedometer needed replacement so actual (total) mileage is 71386 proven by old MOT’s and an invoice in its extensive file of invoices and reciepts for all the work done. The work completed is as follows: Body: Fully restored using NOS British Leyland original front wings, boot floor and sills. Painted in Ferrari Giallo ( Yellow) New Hood,Chrome Bumpers and Wing Mirriors. Has full and quarter toneau covers Interior: New seats, carpets, Burr walnut Dash, door panels and fitted with a Period style Radiomobile . Engine was rebuilt in 1989 , with invoices to prove and has covered apx. 5000 miles since. In 2015 the cylinder head was removed for inserts to run on unleaded petrol, bores were checked at the same time, all was ok and there is a picture of the machined head in its history file and invoices for the work. New Bosch fuel pump, metering unit, lines and Injectors Gearbox was rebuilt by the previous owner including a new clutch (invoiced) the overdrive is fully working and operates in third and forth gears. Electrics are fully operational and have had new front lights and indicators. Brakes new front and rear including brake flexi hoses. Plus probably a load of other things the vendor has forgotten about. all this makes this TR6 a very solid car that is ready to use and enjoy in the hands of its new owner. Currently MOT’d until 1st of August 2017 so renew the free road tax and enjoy.
TVR 280i “Tasmin” 1984 - If any car epitomised the era of the “Wedge” sport cars it has to be this. Designed by the same man as the Lotus Elite S2 the TVR Tasmin, later to be called a 280i, started TVR’s range of this shape car. Fitted for the UK with a Ford V6 2.8 injected engine and offering as a first for TVR, an Automatic option alongside the 4 and 5 speed manual gearboxes. With only just under 1200 V6 engine cars produced over its 7 year production run, they make for a rare but eye catching site on the roads today. This example is a rare beast indeed, not messed with by any of its owners and apart from a recent set of GAZ shock absorbers (X4), rear suspension springs, rear hatch struts and a full set of silicon water hoses, is completely original. The metallic grey bodywork shows no signs of delamination or spiders to the fibre glass and is described as very good by the vendor, with only the slightest marks etc. Interior wise the red leather is good with just a small split to one seam on the driver’s seat and some areas of dryness that could easily re reconolised on both seats. The dash, door cards, carpets and boot area are all very good. Very unusual for an older fibre glass car is that all the electrics including mirrors windows etc still work! The vendor states that the engine, gearbox and running gear are all excellent and earlier this year he completed a trouble free tour into Europe. The car comes with a file of old MOTs and receipts helping to back up the low recorded mileage of 58300. With its current MOT until March 2017 this rare TVR is ready to enjoy.
Triumph Dolomite 1500 SE 1980 - “1979 saw the introduction of the Dolomite SE, of which 2163 were built. The bodyshell was of the basic 1500 (single headlamps) but the interior was fitted with luxury trim including burr walnut dashboard and door cappings (the dashboard was the same style as fitted to that of the Dolomite 1300), grey velour seats and matching carpet. All the cars were painted black with wide silver stripes running full length, with the letters “SE” at the end of the rear wing. The SE also sported a front spoiler and Spitfire style road wheels” This delightfull example is one of only 10 Dolomite 1500 SE’s left on UK roads. Complete with all its original SE extras and described as very good in all areas, with a very small amount of work, could be a very unusual show car. Engine and engine bay are both very clean with the engine starting easily and once warm, pulls cleanly through the twin carburettors, giving suprisingly brisk perfomance when pressed. Gearbox and clutch are both smooth in operation and the exhaust has recently been replaced with a stainless steel item. Interior is very good and even still has the original Unipart radio fitted. Rear seats look too of never been sat on and fronts not far behind. The door cappings could do with the varnish renewing to bring up to the standard of the rest of the interior but the dash wood is excellent. The original black extrior still polishes up nicely with no major damage etc and the SE stripes are complete. Original dealer stickers are still on front and rear screens. Coming with a new MOT prior to auction and with a lot of old MOT’s so ready for its new owner.
