AN OAK LONGCASE CLOCK the thirty hour movement striking the hours on a bell with an outside countwheel, the 11 inch painted dial having a date aperture, Roman numerals and Arabic five minute markings, floral and rococo painted corner decoration, a cartouche with a river scene to the dial centre, and signed 'John Fry, Okehamton' (Okehampton), with decorative blued steel hands, the date wheel stamped with the dial maker's name 'Wilson, Birmingham', the oak case having a flat top with denticular moulding and oval blind fretwork to the frieze, tapered hood pillars, a long door to the trunk and plain base, height 222cm.
