An early 19th century mahogany linen press of large proportions: the flaring cornice above two finely figured panelled doors opening to reveal hanging space and further above two half-width and three full-width graduated drawers with gilt metal ring-pull handles, raised on squat bun feet (136cm wide x 64cm deepest x 218cm high)Condition Report: No major problems in generally v good overall condition - the back looks good (but can only viewed from the inside). The doors appear to be reasonably flat and they do close well, there are no slides inside. It is noted that there is very slight varnish drying/cracking to some of the flame mahogany veneers to the two doors. The mouldings around the doors - left-hand door has 3cm piece of moulding away, the right-hand door has the horizontal bar to the top is missing and also the right-hand piece going from the top to the rest of the moulding...the bottom moulding is missing. The cornice is noted to be of good quality - the left-hand return at the back there is a 10cm split, also there is moulding missing from the edge at the back on the top, on the right-hand return (5cm). The drawers are oak-lined and have mahogany veneers onto pine, the locks look original and are present as are the escutcheons and it is noted that the 2nd drawer from the bottom has a GR cypher with a crown above the lock. Minor pieces of beading away from edges of drawers, minor scuffs and scratches to drawers. Would benefit from a minimal professional restoration.
An early 19th century mahogany-cased eight day long-cased clock: the eleven and a half inch painted broken arch dial surmounted with three finials and the dial with Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds hand under the 12 o'clock position and concave date aperture above the six o'clock position, signed 'Wm Pearse, Tavistock', the hand-decorated and painted spandrels as thatched country cottages and flanked by two turned columns, shaped trunk door flanked by canted corners with two further split columns, shaped apron and raised on bracket-style feet, with original weights and pendulum (222cm high to tip of finial x 50cm widest point at hood)
A George II period mid-18th century and feather-banded wall-hanging corner cupboard: the shaped cornice above an elaborate fielded panel door centred with boxwood and mahogany eight-point star within chevron banding, original escutcheon and the door opening to reveal shelves and a single central drawer below (82 cm high x 34 cm deep x 62 cm wide) Condition Report: It is noted that it is a good colour. The escutcheon appears original and the key also. Lock looks original but the screws may be been replaced at some point. No evidence of any hinge replacement. A few holes visible in the back when the cupboard is opened. Overall a good looking piece.

Chris Berry (1932-2014) - A mid 20th Century walnut cabinet, fitted with an arrangement of five drawers to the side of a tambour shutter door, height 90cm, width 88.5cm and depth 35cm, S/D. NB - Chris Berry qualified in Art and Design at Loughborough in 1952. This cabinet was designed and made by Chris as part of his assessment for his finals. It was then sent down to the Royal College of Art in London for further assessment. After National Service he went to work designing furniture. He won awards for some of his designs in the early 1960s from the Design Centre.
