A George III and later cross banded walnut bureau, with fall enclosing a fitted interior with various drawers, alcoves and secret compartments, above two short and two long drawers, on bracket feet, 99cm H x 92cm W x 51cm D CONDITION REPORT: The handles and escutcheons are not original. The hinges to the fall and internal door and the leather skivers are also not original. It is possible to see on all drawer fronts where older handles were once placed. The veneer has had some repairs and replacements and some small losses, it may be that the herringbone inlay is not original and other alterations to the veneer also and some coloured replaced sections of veneer below the edge of the fall. General age wear patina of scratches and scuffs throughout. The bracket feet may not be original. However, overall despite faults, of an ok appearance. (Please see additional images)
A late Victorian oak housekeepers cupboard, with four shield shaped panelled doors enclosing shelves, above one cupboard door and an arrangement of seven drawers with cusped brass handles, on turned feet, left section of cornice lacking, 213cm H x 205cm W x 50cm D CONDITION REPORT: The wood is dry throughout and in need of feeding. Grubby throughout with age wear patina. The left hand section of the cornice is lacking. The feet are generally worn and faded, some old worm holes to some of the legs. One of the legs is currently detached. Despite faults overall appearance ok.

Mark Hawkins of Bury St Edmunds - an early George III mahogany repeating bedroom bracket clock, having a caddy top with brass carry handle, arched brass dial with silvered disc to the arch signed Mark Hawkins St Edmundsbury, silvered chapter ring with Roman and Arabic numerals, single winding hole for a brass eight day wire driven fusee movement with verge escapement, the hour pull repeat striking three hammers on three bells, finely engraved backplate and engraved brackets, the case with glazed sides, back and door, h.49cm (handle up); together with a later mahogany wall bracket (2)Note: Mark Hawkins of Bury St Edmunds and Newmarket was born in 1707 and died 1767. He was the third son of Mark Hawkins Snr. Hawkins had a workshop at the corner of Hatter Street, Cook Row, Bury St Edmunds and a shop in Newmarket. He is listed in detail in Haggar & Miller's Suffolk Clock & Clockmakers.Case re-polished.Some replacement veneers, especially to left of back door, but generally good.All fretwork panels good.Backplate with four very small unexplained holes.Brackets appear original, no sign of others.All brass good.Appears fairly recently overhauled.In running order.Pull repeat and all hammers working.Bracket with new back.

An oak and mahogany thirty hour longcase clock, brass dial signed Chrisr Johnson of Knaresbro, late 18th century Dial width 11 inches. Case is faded in parts, trunk inset pilasters with cracks and moulding slightly lifting. Trunk door is bowed, later skirting to plinth, feet missing. Wooden cheeks below the seatboard with woodworm holes. Dial is dirty, movement looks complete but needs cleaning, later pendulum, with weight, hood glass door is cracked.
A mahogany eight day longcase clock, signed Jn Smith, Congleton, circa 1820, flat top pediment, case with inlaid stringing and shell inlay, 14-inch square painted dial with Arabic numerals, seconds dial and date aperture, four pillar movement with an attached Finnemore falseplate, anchor escapement and rack striking on a bell, 208cm high 03.09.18, Case has been polished, outer edges of the hood door with chips, some chips and mouldings missing to the top front and sides of the plinth, later feet, dial with one chip, dial markers are faded and rubbed in parts, seconds dial has been re-touched, movement needs cleaning, with pendulum and two weights.
A brass and porcelain mounted striking mantel clock, circa 1900, side porcelain panels depicting figures in costume, porcelain dial with a Roman numeral chapter ring and a central painted landscape scene and below a painted scene of a lady and gentleman seated, twin barrel movement striking on a gong, 33cm high 22.08.18, Brass surfaces are discoloured and with staining marks, side porcelain panels with small scratches and small chips to the edges in parts, back door glass with one crack to the bottom right hand side corner, back door is not closing correctly, dial with crazing cracks throughout, chapter ring with scratches and the dial markers are rubbed, mainsprings are fully wound, movement is not working, pendulum is missing.
