This padlock is of high quality and possibly used to protect a building of high importance, possibly a storage area for someone of high social status or a building of significance within the community. A late 19th century wall clock, the painted white dial with Arabic numerals and a red painted chapter ring for the other 12 hours, in a circular wooden case with brass mount, fusee movement, height 38cm Condition Report: Unfortunately there is no pendulum or key. Large repair present in line with the 3 and 9 o'clock hour markers. All pegs present. Door to base has previously been damaged and partially repaired, with it lacking a locking mechanism. Dial appears to be in good condition considering age. Possible repair to the rear panel. No obvious signs of woodworm.
