A Victorian pine cupboard, the plain top above two panelled doors, opening to reveal three shelves CONDITION REPORTS Various wear, scuffs, splits, cracks, chips, old repairs and stains, conducive with age and use, and various sections cut away (please see photos for examples) Hole to bottom centre of front (where the two doors meet the plinth). Door catch missing. That said, it is still a reasonably tidy cupboard in appearance. Size approx 103 x 35 x 91cm high.
A Regency mahogany breakfront sideboard, the top with two revolving knife boxes surmounted by brass galleried plinths and with moulded edge above a central drawer and concave drawer flanked by cupboard door and revolving cupboard door opening to reveal a baize lined interior and further baize lined compartment when pulled further, the left-hand side with small ice compartment, raised on square tapered supports to splayed block feet CONDITION REPORTS Top with various wear, scratches, some stains and an insert repair section, veneers generally with some warping and splitting, various areas of veneer missing (please see photos), some movement to carcass to drawer and cupboard fronts which have caused veneers to split, various cracks and chips, various alterations to handles and holes where previous handles appear to have been attached, swivel mechanism to revolving knife compartments are a bit stiff and probably require attention and contents of one appears mostly to be present but are damaged and in pieces, metal gallery mounts with denting and mis-shaping, tops to knife boxes with splits and rectangular holes where fitments appear to be missing. Various repairs and replacement sections to edges and sides generally, various cracks and splits to sides and edges, various repairs and losses to veneers, various areas of warping to veneers and some replacement sections. Overall however colour and appearance seems reasonable although the sideboard does require some restoration. Please see photos for examples of condition.
A French mantel clock, the movement marked "PN A Paris", the dial with Roman numerals and painted design of ducks taking flight, on paw feet CONDITION REPORTS Height approx 28cm. Total weight approx 4.25kg. Gilt metal. Overall with wear, scuffs and scratches, tarnish, and may have had some regilding. Both hinged doors (to face and to the back) are glazed. Door to back is quite firmly in place, so has not bee opened for inspection. Dial is cracked. There is a pendulum present. We can make no guarantees as to whether or not clock is complete, nor whether in working order.
