Mid-nineteenth century French Bubble-Top carriage clock by Auguste à Paris with eight day movement and alarm, striking on a bell, club tooth lever escapement set in an engraved platform, white enamel dial with subsidiary alarm dial. Housed in a highly ornate rococo-style case cast in deep relief and decorated with putti, bunches of grapes and shells with applied mermen and mermaid corner supports. Detachable lift-out rear door and ornate scroll carrying handle. Together with a similarly decorated cast ormolu stand on four feet in the form of stylised sea monsters. Case unsigned but possibly by L Lange. Complete with the original tooled red morocco leather and maroon velvet lined travelling case. A George III mahogany longcase clock by John Dobbie of Calton Glasgow, with dentil cornice above an arched glazed door enclosing the brass dial and two-train movement, with Roman numerals, subsidiary date and seconds dials and flanked by twist columns, with long trunk door also flanked by quarter round columns with capitals and with conforming base raised on bracket feet. Height 83 ins.
A George III mahogany sideboard, having a crossbanded boxwood strung edge above a frieze drawer with cutlery drawer beneath, flanked to the right by a cellarette drawer and the left by a cupboard door each with brass drop handles with embossed oval backplates and raised on tapered legs of square section with boxwood stringing.
