The Metro Turbo was the essence of small car cool in the early eighties but are now as rare as the proverbial hens teeth. This Series One appears in fine fettle. The formula was simple - take a lightweight, three-door hatch with the proven 1,275cc A-Series and add a turboThis addition increased power from 70bhp to 93bhp with a decent increase in torque and performanceThis example was rescued from storage around three years ago and recommissioned by our enthusiastic vendorAppears to have been fitted with an Avonbar cylinder head and an intercooler at some point. The radiator has been replaced as has the master cylinder and the brakes overhauled and rebuiltThe exterior might appreciate just a little TLC, however, the interior appears well cared for        SpecificationMake: MGModel: METROYear: 1984Chassis Number: SAXXBZND1BD939482Registration Number: A73 TNOTransmission: ManualDrive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 77362 MilesMake: RHDInterior Colour: ClothClick here for more details, condition report and images

1986 BMW 320i Transmission: automaticMileage:116720The BMW 3-series is a compact executive car manufactured since May 1975. It has been produced in six different generations and in five different body styles. It is BMW's best-selling model, accounting for around 30% of the BMW brand annual total sales and has won numerous awards throughout its history. The E30 was sold from 1982 to 1991 in saloon form and then until 1993 in convertible format. Both four-cylinder and six-cylinder petrol engines were used with a six-cylinder diesel added in 1985. In 1987, the first all-wheel drive 3-series was produced called the 325iX. The E30's introductory price was nearly double that of the E21 just seven years earlier. Initially released as a two-door coupé, the four-door saloon body style was added to the 3-series line up in 1984. Presented in its original bronze colour scheme, this 320i Saloon with automatic transmission presents very well and would be best described as a nice original unmolested example. We are advised the car drives very well and starts on the button. It shows no visible signs of rust. There is evidence of paint work, though bearing in mind the car is 35 years old, that is to be expected. It retains the original brown tinted glass all round with accompanying BMW stamp, full tool kit and hubcaps as new. With two former keepers, both of whom are from the same family. This father and son owned example boasts the original service book with stamps, coupled to invoices for work carried out over the last 10 years, three keys and all paperwork including v5 registration documents alongside a MoT test certificate until May 2023. Having been well maintained and well cared for, this is a great opportunity for a collector or enthusiast to own such a well-preserved car, with early E30 saloons being difficult to come by.Guide Price £5,000 - £7,000

Lot 128

2005 Mercedes-Benz SL500 Transmission: automaticMileage:83677With a 0-60mph time of six seconds, the 4973cc, R129 Mercedes-Benz SL500 carried on the tradition of the fast and reliable grand touring convertible. A fully operating electric hood, windows, door mirrors and seats made this model easy and comfortable to operate. The fifth generation SL was in production between 2002 and 2008 and featured the all-new retractable hardtop - an important feature for those British showers! Mercedes-Benz followers were impressed with the stability of the car with the hardtop in place and the ease at which they could remove it. Such was its success; the SL is still one of the leading cars in the Mercedes-Benz range. This car features the very capable 5.0 litre 302bhp V8 powerplant mated to a standard automatic gearbox. Presented in black with cream leather trim, this SL500 was first registered 9th March 2005. Purchased from a main dealership by our vendor and owned ever since, this example has been well maintained. Showing 83,677 miles on the odometer it is fitted with a Sat Nav, electric front seats, active body control and a Bose sound system. The history files contain invoices, previous Mot records, the UK registration document and a MoT test certificate valid until December 2022.The SL500 model is becoming increasingly sought after and this example is not to be overlooked. We are sure this well-presented Mercedes-Benz will be enjoyed by the new owner in the coming months!

2000 Aston Martin DB7 Vantage VolanteTransmission: manualMileage:11,389 The Renault 5 was launched onto the right hand drive UK market in the autumn of 1972, where, alongside the recently launched Fiat 127, it competed as an imported but more modern alternative to the Mini and Hillman Imp. The 5 borrowed mechanicals from the similarly popular Renault 4 using a longitudinally-mounted engine driving the front wheels. Engines were borrowed from the Renault 4 and larger Renault 8; there was a choice, at launch, between 782cc and 956cc according to price level. The 5TS and 5LS both with the 1,289cc engine from the Renault 12 was added from April 1974. As on the Renault 4, entry level Renault 5’s had their engine sizes increased to 845cc in 1976 and at the top of the range later models had the engine sizes expanded to 1,397cc. The Renault 5 went on to enjoy cult status when the turbo and rear engine Group B derived Maxi cars were introduced. This four-door left hand drive Renault 5 is in very good order throughout and shows a mere 11,389Km on the odometer, this is thought to be correct although not warranted. Having spent its life overseas the bodywork is very solid and the white paintwork is showing to be in good order. We are advised it runs and drives well; the UK registration has been applied for and is expected to be completed prior to auction. Once a common sight on roads throughout Europe these Renault 5’s are surely a future classic.

Lot 134

2000 Aston Martin DB7 Vantage Volante Transmission: automaticMileage:62600Introduced in 1993 to the public, the handsome new DB7 was styled by Ian Callum, its lines were evocative of earlier Aston Martin models and elements of the DB4/5/6 could be seen in its design. Arguably one of the most attractive looking cars ever produced by Aston Martin, the DB7 was well received and attracted new customers worldwide with its traditional layout of the curvaceous two-door coupé body. At the Geneva Motor Show in 1999, Aston Martin introduced the six litre Cosworth-designed and built V12 engine, developing 420bhp and accelerating from 0-60mph in 4.9 seconds with a top speed limited to 185mph. Ian Callum enlarged the grille, added fog lamps and restyled the valances to give the car a more aggressive look.First registered on 10th March 2000, this DB7 Vantage Volante has only had two registered owners throughout its 22 year life. Indeed, unusually included in the car's history file, is the receipt to the last keeper for £49,000, who bought the car from HWM Aston Martin in Walton-on-Thames in Surrey. Averaging a mere 2,845 miles per year over the past 22 years, this handsome Aston seems to have led an easy life. Reported by the vendor to run and drive extremely well, the car has recently benefitted from a £1,884 service. Other than the usual service requirements, any other elements highlighted, including re-gassing the air conditioning, were attended to as well. The hood operates perfectly and the car presents well. As well as the history file, the included Owner's book shows a total of 15 stamps for servicing carried out and the car comes supplied with two sets of keys and also included with the car is the private plate, 'ARC 74T'.It is supplied with a V5C registration document, owner's handbook, file of receipts, two sets of keys and a MoT test certificate valid until May 2023. Becoming ever more collectable, these 420bhp V12 DB7's are a British design classic that represent excellent value for money.

2011 Toyota FJ Cruiser Transmission: automaticMileage:60190The Toyota FJ Cruiser is a retro-styled mid-size SUV produced by Toyota since 2006. Introduced as a concept car at the January 2003 North American International Auto Show, the FJ Cruiser was approved for production after positive consumer response and debuted at the January 2005 North American International Auto Show in final production form. It features a short wheelbase, stocky frame, and grille-headlight arrangement much like the original FJ40. Other throwback design cues include a nearly vertical windshield with three windshield wipers for maximum surface area coverage. The FJ's body features rear opening access doors that give a unique look to the SUV. Special high-strength steel was used to give the vehicle side impact protection without the need for a door pillar. ”ŠThe interior of the FJ features many design elements focused on enhancing off-road practicality. All interior surfaces are covered with washable rubber materials to aid in fast cleanup after heavy outdoor use. The FJ also incorporates oversized controls to aid drivers with gloved hands. The three-gauge cluster (with compass, temperature, and inclinometer) as well as the 120 V rear outlet were carried over from the FJ Cruiser concept vehicle as options on the final production model. The Final Edition of the FJ Cruiser went on sale in Japan on 12 September 2017. Sales of the FJ Cruiser were discontinued there on 31 January 2018.This rare and striking example from Japan, is presented in metallic grey with a white roof and has a black faux leather interior. 2017 Shepherds Hut by Artisan Shepherds Huts Transmission: Mileage:Historians have traced shepherd's huts back to 1596, where an early text reads 'the Shepheard hath his cabin going upon a wheel for to move here and there at his pleasure'. They were a familiar site on the downlands of Southern England, existing as an important part of country people's lives. The most famous shepherds hut in history is described by Dorset novelist Thomas Hardy in the opening chapters of Far from the Madding Crowd.Artisan Shepherds Huts of Sussex was created by a specialist joiner who had had been working on listed, historic buildings and bespoke furniture before turning his talents and time creating meticulously crafted shepherd's huts from his medieval barn workshop in Sussex. Using traditional materials including the wheels being cast from molten iron using original patterns, floors of solid oak and all fittings such as door handles and window fastenings were high-quality reproductions. These huts can be used as a garden retreat, spare room, studio, office or more recently as additional space for AirBnB properties. This bespoke Artisan Shepherds Hut was commissioned five years ago by the sellers to provide them with additional accommodation at a cost of over £35,000. Measuring 491cm long, 230cm wide and 300cm high it was built on a farm tailer for easy movement. The floor is solid oak, and it is fully insulated. It has full electrical supply including lights, sockets and a water heater which is connected under the hut. The internal cladding is painted in Farrow & Ball colour No. 229 Elephant's Breath and the curtains were handmade in a luxury mustard velvet. The bedroom area has a double bed, bedside table and a chair, all of which can removed therefore creating maximum flexibility of the space. At the other end of the hut there is a sink and a wood fuelled small stove for cooking and heating. Easily moved, this useful hut is pleasantly decorated and would be a delight in any garden as an office, guest bedroom or just as a garden retreat.

1969 Mercedes-Benz 280 SL 'Pagoda' Transmission: automaticMileage:59035In 1963, Mercedes-Benz debuted an all-new roadster to replace the 190 SL and 300 SL - the 230 SL. The 230 SL 'Pagoda' was a stunning Paul Bracq designed two-seat convertible that followed Mercedes' new design language, featuring crisp lines and upright headlights. To save on weight, the bonnet, door-skins, boot lid, and tonneau cover were all composed of aluminium. The nickname 'Pagoda' was quickly adopted thanks to the slightly concave roof on the optional removable hardtop that resembled a pagoda roof. In 1967, Mercedes introduced the third and final iteration of the 'Pagoda', the 280 SL, and it then became apparent that some cars don't change, they just get better. The 280 featured the same modified W111 chassis with a rear swing axle and independent front suspension and four-wheel disc brakes. Power came from a 2.8 litre version of Mercedes inline-six and used Bosch fuel injection. A charming model with capable handling and braking thanks to its suspension and all-wheel disc brakes. These roadsters also have one of the most beautiful bodies produced in the 1960s. Thanks to their robust inline-six and their luxurious Mercedes interior, they are wonderful cars to be driven and enjoyed. This exceptional, left hand drive, 1969 Mercedes-Benz 280 SL 'Pagoda' was imported from the United States in 2012 as a completely rust-free example and fitted with period air conditioning. It was registered in the UK in October of the same year with an odometer reading of 55,454 miles, it was sold to the current owner a year later. He used it for a couple of years before putting the car away in storage with current mileage on the clock. The car has just had a complete, ground-up restoration by classic and custom car specialists Hot Rod Technologies based in Hayes, Middlesex. Whilst in restoration the car was brought up to European specification, this included removing the side marker lamps and fitting European style headlights. Finished in the fetching original colour blue, code number 903 with matching hardtop, new dark blue soft top roof and cream leather interior. This lovely Mercedes-Benz 'Pagoda' is supplied with a V5 registration document and photographs showing the restoration. These Pagodas are always a pleasure to drive, particularly in good weather when the roof is down and the smooth six-cylinder engine can be enjoyed.https://youtu.be/AHB4cOarPUg

1975 Range Rover ‘Suffix D’Transmission: Manual Right from the beginning, the Range Rover represented something of a lifestyle movement. Although considered rudimentary by today’s standards, the ‘Suffix A’ was billed as a ‘Four-In-One’ car. It was a luxury car, a performance car, an estate and, of course, a cross-country car. They were launched with the ubiquitous Rover V8 engine which delivered 135bhp but, more importantly, 185lb/ft of torque. Various improvements were made through the suffixes (A-F) with the 1976 suffix D benefitting from improved carburettors, interior lighting in the headlining and more luxurious carpeting on the transmission tunnel. This ‘D’ suffix two-door Range Rover was delivered new to its new owner through Crabtree and Nicol Ltd of Doncaster in January 1975.  This spectacular example has recently undergone a total 1,000+ hour, nut and bolt restoration costing in excess of £70,000. The running gear has been stripped and rebuilt using new parts as required. Fitted with up rated springs and shock absorbers, an electronic ignition and SU carburettors. The bodywork has been stripped, repaired, or replaced as found necessary and the interior has been fully retrimmed and restored to near original specification. The bodywork is painted in its original colour of Masai Red and is finished to a very high standard. The body frame, panels and chassis have been fully treated with anti-corrosion coatings to further extend the service life of this wonderful car. The vehicle is now absolutely superb, representing all that it became famous for when first manufactured. These were undoubtedly the best 4X4 produced, creating a vehicle where the occupants felt at home on a farm, in a field, or indeed heading out for a night out! Fully restored Range Rovers such as this come with a significant waiting list and are highly sought after, and this superb one in Masai Red is available to be driven away now -although we should note having only covered 7 miles on the road since its completion, this vehicle will require running-in-… It is surely a wonderful investment which could be either kept as part of a collection or used as daily mode of transport.Incredible full ‘nut and bolt’ restored exampleCirca £70,000 restoration billOriginal matching numbers Suffix D

1933 Pierce Arrow 836 Club Brougham Two-Door Coupé Transmission: manualMileage:56300While the Pierce-Arrow became one of the most prestigious automobiles available, their beginnings were humble. Bicycles first, as with many firms of note, but by the turn of the century, steam cars broke through using De Dion engines. The cars became bigger and moved over to the internal combustion engine culminating in the Great Arrow that helped gain Pierce its reputation by winning the first five Glidden Tours, a reliability trial of 1,100 miles whilst still aiming firmly at the wealthy end of the marketplace. President Taft was the first US President to use one for official occasions with Roosevelt following the trend and many more to come.Throughout WWI, the Pierce-Arrow commercial line was busy turning out two and five-ton trucks ordered in their hundreds by both the French and English governments. Post-war, production resumed although the attention to detail remained the same. Controlling interest of the Pierce-Arrow Motor Car Company was then purchased by the Studebaker Corporation in 1928. While the two companies maintained independent, Pierce-Arrow's future was now influenced by its new major stockholder.Registered in 1933 and built in Buffalo, USA, this 836 two-door Club Brougham, the name taken from Lord Brougham-designed horse-driven coach. 1993 Mercedes-Benz 600 SL Transmission: automaticMileage:10946Following the resounding success of the R107, the R129 Mercedes-Benz SL had a rather tough act to follow, as it still had to carry on the tradition of a fast and reliable grand touring convertible. The advantage designers had with the R129 was technology. By the time the final car rolled off the production line in 1989, these earlier models had been in production for 18 years with very little change. Therefore, the 600SL featured many new and innovative ideas, such as controlled electronic damping, automatically expanding roll-over bar and a more modern multi-link rear axle. In addition to this was a fully operating electric roof, windows, door mirrors and seats, which made this model easy and comfortable to operate. The new SL also boasted a more powerful engine and the stopping power was aided by anti-locking braking for added reassurance. The specification of these splendid cars is always excellent with electric memory seats, heated seats, air conditioning and cruise control. To be expected from such an engine, this car is very responsive to drive and effortlessly travels for mile after mile. The beauty of the 600SL is the versatility; this is a car you can pop to the shops in or use for work on a daily basis.Originally registered on 1st August 1993 this fabulous Mercedes-Benz has only covered 10,946 miles during its 29 years on British roads. Owned by the current vendor since 2018, it was previously owned within the same family (father & son). Upon purchasing this 600SL the car required some recommissioning which was carried out by a recognised marque specialist. This included the fitment of a new wiring harness (a known fault on these cars). The original service books are present, together with a collection of previous invoices for work carried out, confirming the ultra-low mileage. This Mercedes-Benz is in very original condition and even has the spare key in its original box. These fabulously stylish sportscars from Mercedes-Benz are recognised for the outstanding build quality. Supplied with a V5 registration document, together with a current MoT test certificate, the smoothness and power of the 5973cc V12 contribute towards making this an exceptional car to drive. An exceptionally rare car with exceedingly low mileage.

1998 Mini Cooper Transmission: manualMileage:70725Launched in 1996 the Mk. VII was the final version of the classic shaped Mini. The car was now fitted with twin point injection with front-mounted radiator, a full-width dashboard replaced the original shelf, internal bonnet release and the Introduction of an airbag on the driver's side. The basic Mini was the 1.3i, the other model in the range being the Mini Cooper. The end of production in October 2000 not only signalled the end of original Mini production after 41 years, but also brought about the demise of the 1275-cc engine which had powered the Mini and numerous other BL/BMC/ARG cars for more than 35 years. The Metro had ceased production two and a half years earlier, ironically meaning the Mini outlived the car that was supposed to replace it.This impressive Cooper edition was supplied new to Japan in 1998.This 1275 Mini has been well looked after and is described by the vendor as '10/10 in every regard'. II had finished in 1971. Styled by Ian Callum, its lines were evocative of earlier Aston Martin models and elements of the DB4/5/6 could be seen in the design. Arguably one of the nicest looking cars ever produced by Aston Martin, the DB7 was well received and attracted new customers worldwide with its traditional layout of the curvaceous two-door coupé body and robust six-cylinder engine. 1986 Jeep CJ7 Transmission: manualMileage:51339The Willys Jeep (later Kaiser Jeep or AMC Jeep) is the civilian version of the Willys military Jeep of World War II.  The first Willys CJ prototype (the CJ-2) was introduced in 1944 and the same basic vehicle remained in production through seven variants and three corporate parents through 1986 when production of the Jeep model was officially ended. The Jeep CJ-7 and Jeep CJ-8 were replaced in 1986 by the similar-looking Jeep Wrangler. The Jeep CJ-7 featured a wheelbase 10 longer than that of the CJ-5 and lacked its trademark rear curve of the door cut-outs. To help improve vehicle handling and stability, the rear section of the chassis stepped out to allow the springs and shock absorbers to be mounted closer to the outside of the body.Presented in blue with grey trim,  this late UK supplied 1986 CJ-7 was one of the last built. According to the previous owner,  this is a Renegade specification example which was initially restored prior to the present owner purchasing it in 1998. Sitting on two inch wider than stock arch extensions and Sahara deep dish wheels with new BFG mud terrain tyres and raised Rancho shocks. In 2008 our vendor purchased an AC 5.0 litre V8 engine to replace the 4.2 litre and spent circa £9,000 with AC Automotive having it rebuilt and installed it with all new pistons, a Holly injection system costing £2,400 and a further £2,000 spent on a custom stainless steel exhaust system  and a new radiator. The vendor then decided to have the car taken back to bare metal and repainted in an original Jeep colour - a further £3,500! Recently new seats and half doors have been supplied and fitted from the US and an occasional soft top is supplied, the hard top is available but is unrestored without glass. Currently showing 51,339 however,  the new engine was fitted at 36,000 miles (just 15,000 miles since engine rebuild).   A comprehensive history file accompanies the car and MoT test certificates dating  back to 1998 with a declaration from the purchase in 1998 from the previous owner. A good example of the CJ-7 which is becoming ever more popular and a perfect summer toy to enjoy.

1970 Morris 1100 Mk. II Transmission: manualMileage:83500In 1962, a quite revolutionary new saloon was launched by BMC. With the codename ADO16 this new car was hot from the drawing boards of Alec Issigonis, who set out to design a larger and more sophisticated car which incorporated more advanced features and innovations, and the world famous Italian design house Pininfarina. Offered in many guises by Innocenti, Morris, Riley, Wolseley, Vanden Plas and Austin, the ADO16 was truly universal in its appeal. II Four-Door Saloon presents well in Teal Blue with black upholstery. A very well cared for Morris 1100 that is an ideal starter classic. Charming in both presentation and performance the car is described by the vendor as a delight to drive. The paintwork is still very bright and the upholstery is unmarked and in great order. The navy carpets are also very good with no signs of wear or fading. It has had an aftermarket amp gauge fitted as well as a dual oil pressure / temperature gauge which are both very useful.
