MPH Models - # 822 - A boxed 1:43 scale resin model of the Elva BMW GT 160 as raced at Le Mans in 1965 by Richard Wrottesley and Tony Lanfranchi. This model has had over 120 modifications made by Tim Dyke to create this level of detail seen here. Modifications include adding pewter mirrors and door handles, turned aluminium wheels and Rolls Royce Peacock Blue paint. This is a rare model being number 2 of only 25 made of a rare car with only 3 originals ever produced. The car appears Mint in a Very Good plain white box and comes with a printed history, an etched plaque with the car details on and a signed certificate to show it was built in October 1993. Provence Moulage, MPH Models, Tim Dyke - A boxed MPH models #625 Aston Martin DB3S Le Mans 1954 P.Collins / "B.Bira" Retired 13th Hour - Accident. The resin model is based on a Provence Moulage kit and was modified by Tim Dyke in May 1991. Numbered 5 of a Limited Edition run of 25, the model appears to be in Mint condition and comes with hand signed certificate / card. With the RN20 and finished in metallic green, the model features 123 special features made by Tim. Some of the comprehensive alterations include,"Air scoop - to driver's door, shaped from Isopon and hollowed out"; "Brake drums - specially made perforated P/E and laminated to matt blacked washer"; "Dash - panel fitted over face of moulded dash, five dials fitted" plus many more. The base is marked 'Aston Martin DB3S, Made in France, Provence Moulage, Maquette F.Perche' and features MPH branding. Contained in a Mint plain white cardboard box with MPH branding, the model comes with ephemera detailing the cars history and the extraordinary amount of modifications, plus a photo etched plaque in clear plastic bag. Close examination of the model gains an appreciation of the extraordinary level of detail attributed, and to the skill of the model maker! Starter Models - MPH - # 654 - A boxed 1:43 scale resin model Porsche 718 RSK Le Mans 1958. Based on a car by Starter Models Tim Dyke made 110 detail improvements to these cars to bring them up to this level. These changes include no. 4 air scoop under drivers door modified to correct square cross section, no. 16 additional chassis cross tubes added across cockpit floor, no. 73 throttle pedal drilled. The car appears Mint in a red and white Starter box and comes with a list of the detail improvements, a history of the model and a signed card to show this is number 9 of the 25 produced in January 1992. MPH Models, Tim Dyke - A boxed MPH Models #1406 Gordini 36S Le Mans 1954 'J.Behra / A.Simon - retired 10th Hour - Ignition'. The Limited Edition 1:43 scale hand crafted model created in 2004 is numbered 11 of 25 produced. Finished in pale blue with RN19 the highly detailed model comes with certificate / card signed by the modeler Tim Dyke, and appears to be in Mint condition. The model is fixed onto a resin plinth which has a cobbled / paved effect with photo etched plaque, and is housed within a Mint plain white cardboard box with MPH Model branding. The model comes with an 8 page A5 size booklet which outlines the history behind the Gordini car, and outlines over 200 of the models specifications which include such things as "bonnet straps - cast in in units removed"; "ride height raised"; "Body Excavated to fit both door panels", and many more. The level of detail gone into the construction of the model is truly meticulous - numbered dials; etched wire wheels; yellowed headlights; the fact that the RN decals have been re-sized to represent the actual ones on the real vehicle - a credit to the skill of Tim Dyke. Provence Moulage: MPH Models, Tim Dyke - A boxed 1:43 scale resin Provence Moulage / MPH Models #476 Jaguar D Type Le Mans 1955 M.Hawthorn / I.Bueb 2569.6 miles at 107.07 mph. This delicious D Type in Jaguar racing green with RN6 appears to be in Mint condition and was modified by Tim Dyke in October 1990. The detailed model is a Limited Edition numbered 6 of a run of 25 produced, and comes with hand signed certificate / card. Some of the marvellous modifications made by Tim Dyke include "Passenger Door - panel lines cut in"; "Steering wheel - 4 spoke 'hawthorn only' specially etched for the model"; "Wheelarches - undersealed"; "Tonneau - finger hole marked and drilled"; "Hand brake - bent /cut from S/S pin" etc etc - in total there are 32 incredible special features made to the model. The attention to detail is illuminating! The model comes with documents which detail the history of the car as well as a list of all the modifications made. Marked 'Jaguar D, Made in France, Provence Moulage' with the MPH branding to the base which incorporates the matching Limited Edition number 6!
