A 19th century oak-cased 8-day longcase clock, ornate chased foliate brass dial with applied spandrels, blued steel hands, applied Arabic numerals and subsidiary seconds dial, with movement striking on a gong, marked Tempus Fugit, the dome-top case with ornately carved fruit and flowers, case height 217cm, with pendulum key and weights. Good overall condition. Unable to fully test in in working order as flat spring suspension is missing securing pin. Subsidiary seconds hand working if fork is manually moved striker is funcitioning but may need slight alteration to strike gong correctly. Dial is quite highly polished with a couple of areas of tarnish around the edge. Hood is missing both finials. Left side panel has a small crack, main case door has a crack from the top of the inset panel through the centre to one third of the way down of the door. Left hand side panel just above the foot has a small split panel. Case seems sturdy with weights, crank and pendulam. No door keys.
