Set of ten Old English style dining chairs, Titchmarsh & Goodwin, with carved ladder backs, studded leather seats on turned legs, height 90cm; and a sideboard with three frieze drawers over cupboards, width 169cm. (11) Condition report:Sideboard - large area of the top front edge (centrally) has water damage/ marks that extending down the front over the moulding below the middle drawer. Colour a little faded to the top. One of the cupboard door pulls is broken off. No signs of worm. Chairs - all frames are sound with little movement, if any. Three of the seats have different coloured leather (lighter) than the rest so either have been recovered or are later additions to the set. All seats have some degree of scratching to the leather but none have rips or tears. One of the arm chairs has a more definite hollow in the stuffing. All frames with some light marks and wear through use.
Mahogany bookcase, early 20th century, panelled door and two glazed doors, cabriole legs with paw feet, width 138cm, depth 46cm, height 112cm.Condition report:Generally very good, only light marks and wear through use, some key scratching near the locks for example. No significant splits. Three keys present. Colour is even throughout.
Reclaimed pine housekeeper's cupboard, moulded cornice, fitted with two doors, plinth base, width 75cm, depth 40cm, height 209cm.Condition report:There have been obvious replacements of lock mechanisms to the lower cupboard with a large rectangular patch above the current door pull. The panels to the left of each cupboard have historic worm activity, with a lesser degree on the opposing right hand panel, but none elsewhere. The moulding of the cornice has old repairs. The top cupboard has a panelled inner cupboard which has a lock but not key. There is no space for a pull on that door so a little tricky to open. Some stating to the interior, especially the lower shelf. Some random surface marks and scratches.
