The rectangular top with raised ends houses a bronze dragon with pierced fretwork over a glazed door and opening to an arrangement of shelves, with one drawer with an archaistic style taotie mask pull with a red velvet backing. Some wear and splitting to the veneer along the shelves; the bottom shelf shows signs of moisture exposure. Wear throughout as expected with age and use.

The structure is stable and sturdy. There are scattered losses to the skirting and decorative pierced elements; several pieces are detached but retained with the piece. There are a few splits to the wood, most notably along seams. One shelf is slightly loose. There are no visible repairs. All cabinets and drawers open and close smoothly and the keys turn properly. There are no chips, cracks, or scratches to the glass. Wear and some slight soiling throughout as expected with age and use. There are a few faint moisture rings to one shelf. The upper cabinet has been wired with a modern lighting system.

Mahogany longcase clock,the hood with swan neck pediment, Corinthian columns, the trunk with long door, box base, thirteen inch arched brass dial with subsidiary seconds dial, eight day movement striking on a bell, height 226cm.Condition report:The hood has a split and veneer loss to the upper left hand scroll, and rubbing from the door opening. The case has the very occasional wormhole. The base panel has a significant split running straight through the centre of the inlaid panel. Some veneer loss to the right hand side of the trunk.

George III oak coffer, hinged lid with two panels, carved three panel front, width 124cm, depth 62cm, height 74cm.Condition report:Panelling to the top has split, heavy circular dark ring mark to the right hand panel of the top. Later repaired strips along the outlines of the top. The left hand side panel has been adapted to a door allowing side access to the main cavity. The door panel has also split, and there is a 10cm reglued patch to the frame of the door. The right hand side is just panelled. There are some worm holes to the front face, just above the right hand leg, but very few, and none immediately evident in any great number elswhere. The planks are all secure. The interior has some mildew buildup. Base panels are later. The left hand side uprights are also later replacements.

Doors haven't warped. The bottom drawer's lining needs repair as the base section is split and loose. Some minor wear to the mouldings and drawer fronts. Drawers run well. No evidence of worm activity.

The left hand door doesn't quite close flush but that may just be the shelves preventing it from closing tight.The shelves have some staining. The top and plinth may be replaced pieces of pine as colours vary from the main body and doors. The shelves have some staining. The left hand panel is split, but again stable. There are a very small number of what would appear to be worm holes on the side panels, but fewer than a dozen in total.
