A 19th c. Mahogany campaign Washstand, the clam-shell action top revealing an interior with a bowl aperture and four sub-apertures, the lift action mirror being absent. The base which has carrying handles includes a door revealing the pot storage cupboard and with a frieze drawer below, the whole standing on square legs and being nicely detailed with intricate light and dark-wood stringing, 16 3/4'' wide extending to 33 1/2'', 16 3/4'' deep and 32 1/2'' high approx. (some losses to veneer).
German spring driven wall clock c1900 within a glazed case with side panels and a full-length arched door and ornately carved pediment, turned finials and original pendant finials, with a 5' two-piece white enamel dial with roman numerals, minute markers and pierced steel gothic hands, with a visible gridiron pendulum with an R/A inscribed pressed brass bob, eight-day movement striking the hours and half hours on a coiled gong. Beatles interest - Signed George Harrison photograph and two other photos of Louise and Harry Harrison c1963, George photo 9.1cm x 9.1cmProvenance - As a teenager the vendor wrote fanmail to George Harrison. Louise Harrison (Georges Mother) received the majority of his fan mail and was known to personally respond to many letters. On this occasion on hearing of the vendors location of Preston Lancashire, she asked the vendor to check in with an elderly family member who lived in Preston and to ask him to get in touch with Louise. The vendor visited as requested and was rebuffed at the door. As thanks for carrying out this request, Louise Harrison sent the vendor the photograph of George with autograph and two other family photos. Condition - Ink of autograph fading, some creases to the photos and small tear on smallest photograph
