An 18th Century Flintlock Tinder Lighter, the steel box lock with a spring hinged door to the left side engraved I.H., with walnut bag butt, plain bar trigger, the left side set with a candle sconce and on a ringed pillar and bipod front support, 14cm. Action works, holds at full and half cock. Brown pitted finish to metalwork. Split to left side of butt
An Edwardian Mahogany Small Campaign/Apothecary's Cabinet, of vertical rectangular form, the hinged cover enclosing fitted recesses and when closed secures the brass rod locking action of the front and back doors, one enclosing apertures for bottles, the other enclosing further apertures over seven various small drawers with internal sliding covers, with gilt brass side carrying handles, on bracket feet, 26cm by 21cm by 34cm Footnote:- belonged to the vendor's grandfather who was an explorer in the Arctic and Antarctic in the early to mid 20th century. Minor surface scratches and bruising. The back door has a small sliver of wood missing at the top. The front right bracket foot is coming unglued at the angle. Generally in good condition.
A Second World War RAF Mahogany Wall Timepiece, the 34cm circular cream painted dial with black Roman numerals enclosing crowned RAF badge, with brass bezel hinged door (lacking glass), in a cushion moulded case, the single fusee movement with brass pendulum, 48cm (af). Movement looks clean. Dial is scratched, discoloured and has paint flakes. The hands are rusty but move. The glass is missing from the door. the case has some scuffing and needs a polish, but has no damage. The side door is slightly warped. The key is missing.

A circa 1800 oak bacon settle, the upper section with two panelled doors enclosing a hanging space now with shelves over a plank seat and four drawers with brass swan neck handles on a sledge type base CONDITION REPORTS Overall appears in good condition for a utilitarian piece of furniture. Slight loss to the top of the moulding top right, handles to the cupboard doors replacements right hand door centre panel with split along the grain. Interior basically sound possible left shelves replacements as thinner than the right shelves, some old woodworm holes to the left hand back panels, base of the back with lose of base panel we would think, certainly there is a gap to the base boards. Large diagonal split to the centre of the area below the doors, the seat has a split along the two plank section, drawers basically sound though left hand drawer handle loose and lock missing. Overall basically sound condition and responsible colour. Back of slightly tapering form from top to bottom and slimmer than in many other pieces of this type. See images for further detail.
An early 20th century oak cased mantle clock with gilt brass embellishments, the 8 day musical movement with brass arch dial and silvered chapter ring surmounted by slow/fast and strike/silent dials CONDITION REPORTS Case basically sound though with some knocks, dents and scuffs to the surface conducive with age and use. Rear door has obviously been broken at the hinge and re-glued. See image for further detail. Metalwork slightly dull in colour and slightly worn in places particularly to the mask to the frieze. The silvered chapter ring with wear marks. The central field with some marks - see images. Repeat appears to work. Workings look clean though not tested over a 24 hr period. The back door (glazed) is locked. No key. With the pendulum and another winding key visible inside.
A longcase clock, the 31 cm arched square brass dial having a silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals, the matt centre with subsidiary seconds and calendar dials, fitted an eight day movement, in a mahogany case, 226 cm high (over finial)With a trunk door key, a winding key, two weights and a pendulum.Winding gut damaged.Some cracks to veneer and general wear and tear.The eagle finial on the top is slightly bent. The blind fretwork is lifting near the top.The dial is nice and clean, possibly restored.Door closes fairly flush but there is slight warping to the bottom. The dial quite a good fit into hood.See images.
