Heaney (Seamus) Door into the Dark, first edition, signed presentation inscription from the author 'on "the day of the corncrake." 29th June 1969' on title, original cloth, dust-jacket, spine lightly browned, [Brandes & Durkan A5a], 8vo, 1969.⁂ From the library of the Belfast poet John Hewitt. Hewitt's The Day of the Corncrake was published in the same year as Door into the Dark and this copy was presented to Hewitt by Heaney to commemorate what would be a significant year for both writers.
