William Lancaster, Plymouth Dock, a late-18th century mahogany long case clock, the arched hood, (finials lacking), above an arch waist panel door enclosed by fluted canted corners, on plinth base and bracket feet, the restored arched brass dial with silvered chapter ring, calendar aperture and second subsidiary, scenic engraving to the centre, the twin-trained eight-day movement striking on a bell, two lead weights and pendulum, 208cm high.
An unusual bronzed metal French Gothic Revival-style carriage clock, the handle in the form of conjoined winged dragons above an octagonal dial with pierced centre, the case cast overall with the Annunciation and vignettes of figures representing the months of the year, stamped beneath "Deposé AXF", possibly Falize, Paris, the back with door revealing a small drum movement, 18.5cm, including handle. This appears to be a bronzed copper and metal version of a Falize 'Angelus' clock case with simple or replacement movement and hands.
