Late 17th century marquetry long case clock, with possibly associated 8 day movement, 5 pillar movement, 10” square dial with cherub head spandrels, matted centre and silvered chapter ring. Dial plate signed below chapter ring 'Faith Leake, London'. Subsidiary date aperture and seconds dial, plain winding holes with cross cut winding squares and single line engraved border. In a marquetry inlaid case with rising hood (securing mechanism now missing) with barley twist pillars. Full length case door with panels of floral marquetry and circular lenticle, on four bun feet. Please note case is in poor condition and will require complete refurbishment. Many loose parts are available. 195cm overall height. (Key, pendulum and weights present)Condition report: General overall condition is poor. Movement is dirty with some rust and has signs of various repairs over time. We are unable to confirm if it is in full working order. Dial brasswork is very dirty and slightly buckled. Dial plate has some damage to reverse between 3 and 4 and there is a solder repair to one of the pillars where it joins the dial. There are punch marks on the back plates around one of the barrel arbours. Seat board has been replaced and movement may not be original to the case.Case is in distressed state and will require complete overhaul. Areas of major damage. Some loose parts/pieces are available but we cannot confirm if all present. Trunk side panels have been hollowed out to facilitate pendulum swing. Rising hood securing mechanism is missing. There are signs of old woodworm in the barley twist pillars. Right rear pillar is missing and right front pillar is damaged,
