Richmond, York a large Georgian tear-shaped mahogany wall clock the eight-day duration, weight-driven movement having an anchor escapement with the thirteen-inch round painted dial having counter-balanced blued-steel spade hands, black Roman numerals and signed Richmond, York, the mahogany tear-shaped case with cross-banding to the long trunk and small door, height 126cm.Notes: Joseph Richmond, born circa 1757, was known working until his death in 1818 being succeeded by his son also Joseph who is recorded at Fossegate, York in 1823 and clock keeper at York Minster in 1829.
