Catalogue Note See Britten's 'Old Clocks & Watches and their Makers': Samuel Watson, Coventry and London, horologist, is listed as active between 1649-1710, 'inventor curious piece of clockwork; a clock sold to Charles II, shows the rising and setting of the sun and many other motions.' He is credited with inventing the five-minute repeater.

Pemberton Maker Liverpool 1841' (2) 106.1cm high, 90.7cm wide, 45.7cm deep (slight differences to dimensions between the cabinets ) Catalogue Note See the 'Dictionary of English Furniture Makers, 1660-1840', where John Pemberton of Liverpool is listed as active between 1827-39, son of Peter Pemberton, cooper. He was free on the 19th October 1827 and trading at 74 Upper Frederick Street in that year.

An almost identical Deuddarn is illustrated in Richard Bebb?s definitive book on ?Welsh Furniture 1250-1950?. It is photograph 823 on page 92 of volume 2.?Condition reportLoose board on top of cupboard, some play in upper door hinges, middle and LH door.Missing beading at drawer height on the LHS, small chip to beading on the RHS.A 7cm hole on LHS cupboard wall with tin plate repair, lacking moulding on both sides at foot level, front moulding loose.All feet with minor historic worm/wear, causing the cupboard to angle back slightly.

The bumper operated missile cover release mechanism is sticking and needs attention. The Captain Scarlet figure is present in the door. There is no year on the underside of the vehicle.

A well engineered 3 1/2 inch gauge model of 'Buffalo' a 2-8-0 Canadian Switcher tender locomotive No 8342, built to the design by Martin Evans and rebuilt by the late Mr Peter Dupen. The silver soldered copper boiler with fittings including water sight glass, steam pressure gauge, safety valve, regulator, lever operated fire doors and wheel direction control to cab. The chassis having Baker valve gear and piston valves, ratchet oiler system, fluted motion and water injector. Double bogie tender with rear mounted ladder. The model finished in black lined livery with fitted steps, handrails, lamp irons, mounted bell and spot light to smoke box door. Overall length 132cm.Past Boiler History: Perranporth & District Model Engineering Club, Boiler test certificate No 2706. Hydraulic test pressure 200 psi. Working pressure 100 psi. A fine exhibition quality and award winning 5 inch gauge model of a Midland 4-4-0 tender locomotive No 999, built by the late Mr Peter Dupen of Sussex, a well known and a National award winning model engineer. The silver soldered boiler with fittings including safety valve, twin water sight glasses having fitted drain taps, regulator, scale steam and vacuum gauges with associated copper pipework, lever operated firebox door, direction control and fitted drivers seat. The chassis having fluted motion internal cylinders and valve gear, six-wheel tender with vented water tank, brakes, coal doors, lamp irons ,lamp, vacuum hose and coupling. The model finished in maroon and black lined livery with fitted steps, handrails, lamps and vacuum hoses. Condition Report: This engine has been steamed. An Edwardian collectors cabinet fitted an arrangement of fifteen drawers enclosed by a pair of doors with inlaid ovals, the stand with square taper legs, 84cm wide CONDITION REPORT: Top section detachable i.e. from legs, no key. The veneer to right hand door lifting and split in places. Beaded surround to stand split and pieces missing. Left hand door with nasty veneer split.

A French satinwood armoire, the moulded arch-top with open shell and scroll surmount and with fluted pillars to the sides, enclosed by a pair of shaped arch-top glazed doors with moulded apron beneath on carved cabriole legs, 134cm wide, 297cm high, 50cm deep/see illustration CONDITION REPORT: There is no key, no middle shelf, left hand door sticks at the base, right hand door closes smoothly. Some woodworm to right hand door moulding, condition overall very good.

A Victorian mahogany housekeepers cabinet, the upper section fitted three cupboards above sliding doors, the lower section fitted an arrangement of eleven drawers over three cupboard doors, 183cm wide CONDITION REPORT: Top half with missing piece at base of left hand side and split to right hand side, exposed joints, one panel door badly split, another with noticeable split. Interior stained and ring marks throughout. Base top scratched, pitted, sides with noticeable stains and gouges. All drawer interiors stained. Bottom cupboards all doors with minor damages. Later shelves.
