A fine and detailed 1:5 scale model of 1930 Mercedes-Benz SSKL by Sapor Modelltechnik of Ingolstadt, Germany, 1990s,the Super-Sport-Kurz-Leicht two-door roadster, all metal construction, coachwork painted white, exacting detail made from over 3,000 component parts including full engine detailing and dashboard instrumentation, accessories, suspension and other mechanical parts, black leather upholstery and black canvas hood, the model 85 cm long, 33 cm wide, 25cm high. Footnotes:Made in limited numbers, these models usually sold out immediately, and the early Sapor editions included a 1904 Mercedes Simplex, a 1904 Rolls Royce and a 1913 Mercer 35J Raceabout and are widely accepted as the finest detailed models ever produced.The Mercedes-Benz SSKL was based on the previous SSK, whose short wheelbase made it very light and manoeuvrable. Also known as the 'SSK, 1931 model', the SSKL was even lighter (hence the 'L' ) and was able to achieve a top speed of up to 235 km/h. Some signs of restoration to the moulding above the bottom drawer and to the feet, no key for bottom section of drawersTop section is 49cm deep when door is closed
George III mahogany longcase domestic regulator clock, inscribed Desbois & Wheeler, Grays Inn Passage, London, the triangular pediment over a silvered circular dial with subsidiary seconds dial, above a trunk door and plinth base, the twin train eight day movement with deadbeat escapement striking on a bell, with pendulum supported by the case, and two brass bound weights of differing sizes, dial 12" diameter, total height 199 cmPurchased by the vendor from Pendulum of MayfairCondition Report: With brass covered weights and pendulum.
