A rare c1960's Japanese tinplate battery operated Northwest Oriental Airlines toy aircraft. Made by Japanese company Yonezawa. Very detailed model, when the fuselage door opens, the passengers 'leave' and the stewardess appears at the door. Untested. Unboxed. Large scale, wingspan being 61cm.
A wonderful c1950's magicians suitcase. Pertaining to an 'F. Steward,' of Suffolk, the suitcase contains many of his magic tricks, some likely home made. Including; various trick decks (including tall/short cards, rigged cards and others), a wooden and tin Giant / Dwarf trick, a wood and tin soldier hidden door trick, various mysterious silken cloths, collapsible wands, large-card tricks, disappearing card tricks. Some come with their original instructions, and notes made by the magician, others require some magical skill to operate. A wonderful collection of nostalgic magic related items.

An 18th Century mahogany Writing Bureau, the angular fall opening to reveal finely fitted interior with central cupboard door to 'secret' slides (as columns with acorn-style finials) and flanked by an arrangement of further drawers and pigeonholes etc., further over two half-width and three full-width graduated drawers flanked by quadrant fluted pilasters, oak lined and with original swan-neck handles, raised on ogee bracket feet, 111cm wide x 56cm (deepest) x 108.5cm high
A late-18th /early-19th century French Canadian (possibly Quebec) pine Armoire/Side Cabinet of small proportions, the thumbnail moulded overhanging top above two panelled doors enclosing shelves, with shaped apron and raised on shaped stile feet, 128cm wide x 53cm deep x 146cm high CONDITION REPORT: The two plank thumbnail moulded top with scratches and some staining and later nails evident, the right hand door lower panel with full length crack top o bottom, the left hand panel door lower panel with crack top to bottom, both cracks caused by shrinkage, the central wooden catch replaced, overall scuffs and wear and tear commensurate with age.
A late-18th century French Canadian pine Side Cabinet (possibly Quebec), the moulded top above two full-height doors, each with a central decorative cross motif and enclosing shelves, raised on stile feet, 126cm wide x 43cm deep x 127.5cm high CONDITION REPORT: There is a 12cm x 7cm patch of wood missing from the left hand side moulded plank top, top with scuff marks and ring marks, the cross form moulded panel doors original with original hinges, the door retaining catch is a later replacement, there is a diamond shaped patch to an old knot mark on the right hand cross panel and a diamond shaped patch to the right hand door, left hand side upright door rail, overall scuffs, wear and tear commensurate with age.
A 19th Century Chinese oak table cabinet, the two panelled doors displaying carved foliate-style spandrels and opening to reveal an arrangement of six half-width over one full-width lower drawer, raised on lions paw style feet, 44.5cm wide CONDITION REPORT: The top of the piece has an approx. 8/9cm light scratch in the middle towards the back and also a small bruise on the front right hand side, the right hand panel seems OK although some very small pinholes are noted, the left hand panel seems good, the door are of a fairly nice colour and tightly carved with no major problems noted and they seem to shut flush and flat, the animals claw feet seem to be in good general overall condition although there a few minor scuffs and scratches commensurate with age. The drawers inside seem in good general overall order, the back looks dark and original.
Jacob Gelyn of Amsterdam, an 18th century Dutch walnut and marquetry eight-day Longcase Clock, broken arch dial with moon phase mechanism and date arch above a large silver dial with Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds hand, date aperture and days of the week aperture, the silvered chapter ring signed cornered by four individual gilt metal spandrels modelled as cherubic-style figures, shaped trunk door with pendulum viewing glass and raised on outset block-style feet, the whole of the clock case covered profusely in floral-style marquetry, with weights and pendulum, 237cm high CONDITION REPORT: For restoration and is non-running (see images), In our opinion the dial face mask does fit within the hood and the movement and dial are not married they look original. It looks like the back legs on both left and right are missing and the clock is leaning against the wall for balance. The door is also completely away from the main body.
A good early-19th century French Canadian (possibly Quebec) pine Armoire/Side Cupboard of small proportions, the angular top above two full-height doors with fielded panels enclosing an array of shelves, carved shaped apron and on stile feet, 127cm wide x 54cm deep x 154cm high CONDITION REPORT: The planked top having a 44cm historical gouge to the top (see image), the right front panel door thumbnail edge with historical patch and reparations, both front stile feet spliced and replaced, overall scuffs, wear and tear commensurate with age.
