A George III oak and mahogany crossbanded long case clock the broken swan neck pediment above glazed frieze inscribed "T.Swift 1790" and square brass dial set with Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds hand date aperture inscribed "Coats Wigan" housing an eight day movement and flanked by fluted pilasters above an arched door flanked by quarter cut pilasters to a plinth base.
A Regency rosewood clock c1820 inscribed J W Howden, Edinburgh. The 8in enamelled dial has Roman numerals and strike silence facility with steel Breguet style hands. the two-train fusee movement strikes on a bell with signed and engraved pendulum bob. The case has a lockable glass rear door, pagoda top with reeding to finial and floral design. There are ring carrying handles to sides with pierced rectangular brass sound apertures above a reeded section and further decorated plinth, all supported on brass ball feet (55cm high, 29cm wide and 18cm deep)
