An unusual and possibly prototype Märklin 00 Gauge Mitropa 343.1-type variant hand-lettered bogie (four-axle) Coach, handpainted in red with grey roof, hand-lettered and lined in gold in style of transfers, but without eagle symbol and reference numbers, closed coach ends without wiring openings, variant of blued-steel KK1 coupling with flat underside to claw, bogie side frames apparently unrelated to any production models, with soldered-on springs and leaf springs rather than embossed, soldered tabs to fix couplings, slotted heads to bogie retaining bolts and roof door gutters soldered on, not embossed, similar to 341.1 roof detail, G, some corrosion to couplings, paint blob to one side; this coach is part of a large collection principally formed in the 1950s and 1960s, and if it is not a prototype model constructed by Märklin, it is an extremely well made copy in the style of Märklin; the hand-lettering is similar to the work carried out at the factory in 1945-1946 when hand-lettering was used to replace transfers, but the other details suggest that it could have been made at an earlier date as a prototype in around 1935

A restored Bing for Bassett-Lowke Gauge 1 clockwork GCR 'Sir Alexander' class 4-4-0 Locomotive and Tender, in lined Great Central green livery as no 1014 'Sir Alexander', with 2-speed mechanism and fixed buffers, as restored VG, mech operates in both speeds forwards but disinclined to reverse, paintwork appears largely original including tender and name/number transfers, with considerable large-section craquelure neatly overvarnished and sealed, some sections of footplate retouched and buffer beams repainted, small crease to left-side footplate above front bogie wheels, smokebox door handle and front lamps missing, buffers may be replacements, complete with a good-quality brass key to fit (3 inc key)
A fine Bing Gauge 1 Station Building, height over flagpole 13", base approx 9" square, embossed merely 'Germany' to base but bearing many Bing features, including the embossed walls with inset door and window fittings, embossed roof panels and typical fencing to front, frosted glass to canopy, telegraph and flag poles to roof, the colouring being white upper storey brickwork, pink below with a maroon 'skirt' (possibly added), the roof in graduated blue finish, front windows with attached serving ledges, base in dark grey with some retouching, G, most paintwork appears original but with moderate playwear/scratching
