A late 19th Century French, kingwood, decorated and gilt metal mounted vitrine:, surmounted by a rectangular panel of rouge variegated marble, enclosed by a cartouche shaped bevelled glazed panel door in moulded and beaded surround, similar glazed panel sides and bombe-shaped panels below, painted in the Vernis Martin style with a young couple in a wooded arbour and with lake and wooded landscapes, on splayed legs headed with acanthus ornament trailing to foliate sabots, 68cm (2ft 2 3/4in) wide, 156.5cm (5ft 1 1/2in) high.
