A large George III oak housekeeper's cupboardThe narrow ogee cornice above a plain frieze and four cupboard doors with fielded panels, opening to fixed shelves, the base with six graduated drawers flanked by further cupboard doors with conforming panels.284cm wide x 56cm deep x 219cm high.Shrinkage splits to cupboard door panels, varying from fine to open. Fading to lower drawer fronts. Scuff marks to base top from door wear. Some remedial bracing of back boards. Split to cornice moulding. Right lower cupboard base board loose. General old chips, dints and small losses in places, especially to shelf fronts. All cupboard locks replaced or missing. Some drawer locks appear original but some are replacements. Evidence of worm to back boards and some shelves. General overall signs of age and use but good colour and figuring. No keys present.Splits into two for moving - upper and lower sections. Dimensions are as follows: Upper section 288cm wide x 49cm deep x 138cm high; Lower section 284cm wide x 56cm deep x 81cm high. Internal shelves are fixed but drawers and doors can be removed.
