A Flemish ebony and painted table cabinet, 17th century,the hinged top opening to reveal an inset mirror and pair of painted panels depicting figures in a landscape, with a silk lined open compartment, above a central cupboard door opening to reveal a mirrored interior with ivory and ebony parquet floor and mirrored back arches with painted tortoiseshell panels, the eight short drawers and one long drawer each with a brass escutcheon and rippled ebony decoration, the panelled sides with small carrying handles61 x 79 x 34cm Provenance: Property of the late Michael Stennett, SuffolkCondition report: Minor cracks and losses to the veneer in areas as would be expected, especially to the top and sides. One side of the ripple ebonised frame to a painted panel is off (but retained). The mirrors to the interior are slightly stained in areas, minor cracks to the ivory parquet floor as would be expected.This cabinet remains overall in good condition.

Sold as seen on behalf of a Cambridge College. Appears to strike and chime when the hands are advanced, but not currently ticking/working. Some old knocks/marks to case. Please see images.
