Large Cabinet of Microscope slides, cabinet, English, c. 1870, unsigned but in the manner of Smith & Beck, constructed of French polished mahogany on a plinth base, glazed door to front with lock and key containing 21 drawers each capable of holding 24 standard slides, each drawer with an ebony pull with number in the centre and two porcelain labels, each drawer lined with blue velvet, contains mainly professionally prepared slides including some by; C. M. Topping, Edmund Wheeler, F. J. Cox many with the retail label for Smith, Beck & Beck 6 Coleman St. (approximately 225 prepared slides)
Two Early Ship's Navigation Slide Rules, slide rule versions of Gunter's scale, both 18th century, boxwood with brass ends, one English, one Dutch (or Dutch owner), both display navigation scales for leagues, rhumbs, sines, tangents, meridian line, equal parts and sines of rhumbs in addition to the logarithmic number scales, both unsigned, but one with owner's name 'P Holm Schip Reght door see' stamped to side (this rule is warped but slide still operates smoothly), longest 31.2cm.

An Irish Mercury Stick Barometer, c. 1810 by Joseph Ribaldi of Limerick, in mahogany, open pediment with urn finial, glazed door covering vernier scale and thermometer, signed 'I Ribaldi Limerick' height 96cm. A 19th Century mahogany bookcase cabinet, the astragal glazed upper section with adjustable shelving over two cupboard doors enclosing two linen drawers CONDITION REPORTS 215cm h x 110cm w x 51.5cm d. Overall condition generally good though with signs of wear and tear conducive to age and use. Base section has only two press drawers ie. top and bottom drawers missing. Cornice medallions appear to have signs of wear/rubbing suggesting there may have been something else there at one time, now polished off. Door has some signs of damage to the beading. See images for further detail. Base had slight scratching to the left hand door.

TOJO HIDEKI: (1884-1948) Japanese Prime Minister 1941-44, responsible for the attack on Pearl Harbor, which led to America entering World War II. An unusual set of three original 4 x 3 photographs, each depicting different views of the barracks in which prisoners, including Tojo, were held during the Tokyo War Crimes Tribunal. One of the photographs is signed by Tojo, in both English and Japanese, with his name alone to the verso. Another of the photographs is annotated in an unidentified hand to the verso, 'Gallows where Tojo was hung. Note #13 on door!' Rare. Some very slight, minor age wear, otherwise VG, 3
