A Regency leather covered casket containing three fitted drawers and ring handles to the sides, 29cm wide CONDITION REPORT: Leather throughout is very dry, split and lifting throughout. Reverse of the top missing leather and the back and moulded base missing leather. Door moulding missing four pattera and central panels both missing leather. Interior faux book bindings in better condition. Internal drawer fittings later. All gilt mounts very dull. This has come from a private collection in Minchinhampton.
A William & Mary ebonised eight-day, bell striking, bracket clock, John Wrench, Chester, the caddy top with gilt handle and pierced and engraved repoussé worked caddy, the case with canted corners, gilt metal mounted with arched glass to the sides, on claw and ball feet fitted a four-pillar two-train fusee movement with verge escapement, the brass dial with signed silver chapter ring, and an engraved signed back plate, the case 38cm high/Note: Baillie records John Wrench, Chester, 1690-1717/see illustration CONDITION REPORT: 27th April 2017:- Full mechanical overhaul, including replacement of strike mainspring, silver solder repair to locking arbour, replacement locking wheel, 2 pivots straightened, new knife edge to verge, new pendulum rod and bob, new pendulum lock, repair to calendar ring and new teeth cut to fit, calendar wheel re-cut and new collet and post made, all pivots burnished, 4 bushes to strike, 4 bushes to going, strike silent lever made and fitted, screw heads recut as original, new case bolt made, new lock to front door, dial cleaned and re-silvered, movement polished and cleaned, replacement gut lines fitted etc.There are two spare holes to the left hand side of the backplate, otherwise complete. The front plate has one small hole opposite lower hole on backplate. Clock is at present in working order and has been for many years at the vendors property. Condition otherwise good.

A narrow floor standing bowfronted corner cupboard of small proportions, the shelved interior enclosed by a panelled door, 84cm x 45cm CONDITION REPORT: The front is not symmetrical, suggesting that it has been constructed from something else. The back is secured by a bed iron with a plywood back. Very unstable on base. 45cm is total width.

The movement is running but not tested for time keeping. The case has been sympathetically restored and has some old worm holes and general wear to lacquer. The base has been cut down and altered.

The movement sits well in the case and the cheeks have not been altered for it to fit. The dial is in good order but has some marks. The cheeks of the case are slightly packed out to make the movement level so may or may not suggest the movement is a marriage ( please make up your own mind before bidding ) . The movement is running and striking ( not tested for time keeping ) . The case is in good original order with some missing door mouldings. The rear base of the case is loose but present .The bracket feet are probably a later replacement for the original bun feet
