A seven foot Welsh eight day oak longcase clock circa 1830 commemorating a visit by the Prince of Wales. Having a circular brass dial with silvered chapter ring featuring the Prince of Wales feathers. The case is profusely carved, the hood featuring oak leaves and acorns surmounted by the Prince of Wales feathers, his crown and the motto Ich Dien German for I SERVE. The door featuring the Princes coat of arms and the statement "Honi soit qui mal y pense" which is a French phrase meaning: "Shamed be he who thinks evil of it", and the base a depiction of Saint George and the dragon. The movement possibly earlier than the case. The movement has extended barrels.
A Whitfield's Safe and Door Co. iron safe (with key) CONDITION REPORTS The key and lock do work. Overall heavy wear and scuffs and some rusting and large areas of loss to the painted decoration to the exterior. Internal dimensions - 26 cm deep, 26 cm wide x 41 cm high. Various scuffs and tarnish and rusting to interior also.
A German bisque headed doll inscribed "Madem Germany 390 A1½ M", the composition jointed body stamped in red "Holz-Masse", together with a small Tri-ang Toys dolls house CONDITION REPORTS Dolls house has quite heavy wear, scuffs and dirt, some tarnish and rusting, a small amount of woodworm visible to roof, but unable to see whether or not there is any woodworm beneath paper to walls. The green door is present. Doll with eyes missing, limb joints do not appear to be a good fit and parts may be associated, some cracks to body and some repairs to hands.
