An 18th Century Eastern Tibetan painted and panelled wood cabinet, decorated in a red base and gold gesso with leaf scroll and circular ornament, fitted two pairs of doors, 161cm wide x 51.5cm deep x 122cm high. Old wear and repaired crack to one door. Provenance: Purchased in 2005 from a reputable dealer in Singapore. Note: A similar cabinet is located in the USC Asia Pacific Museum in Pasadena

An unusual oversize Louis XV style French ormolu and boulle bracket clock, 19th century, the eight day two train movement within a waisted case with glazed side panels, surmounted by a figure of a Roman sentry, the dial with twelve white enamel cartouches with blue Roman numerals, the part glazed door flanked by caryatids over an ormolu relief of a goddess riding Pegasus, raised on four scroll feet, 100 cm high and to/with the original conforming ormolu and boulle wall bracket, overall 135 cm h when mountedcomplete overall, although a multitude of faults to the case commensurate with age and type of construction, the movement unsigned / unnumbered, dial unsigned, sold as seen and inspectedShell veneer has no lifting, however, there is lifting to the brass in a number of areas
