A 19th Century Chinese export lacquer cabinet, the frieze with sunburst and acanthus scrolls above panel doors enclosing a fitted interior, the base with folding top above a writing slide and single drawer, the turned legs united by a pierced platform stretcher, profusely decorated in gilt, 70cm wide/see illustration Condition Report: Cupboard surmount with some minor damage, cupboard with chips in places, interior central door with slide behind for portrait insertion, lacquer good, both door with internal splits, outer door decoration good, hinged flap very worn and rubbed at edges, front edge also chipped and rubbed, legs and stretcher rubbed at edges and lacquer decoration tired.
A 19th Century rosewood dwarf bookcase with glass panelled door set with gilt metal mounts, 61cm wide Condition Report: The brass mounts are dull, a few scratches in places all acceptable with age, scratch marks to the door pillar side, caused by the cupboard door being shut with the lock shot, 80cm high.
A walnut bureau bookcase with moulded cornice, the bureau with fitted interior above two long and two short drawers on bracket feet, 97cm wide x 180cm high/see illustration Condition Report: The left hand glazed door loose top hinge, both sides scratched and pitted, interior shelves with rather crude plate stops. Some lifting veneer and scratches, interior with assortment of drawer handles, left hand side with splits. Missing drawer mouldings in places.
A Georgian mahogany longcase clock, the arched dial with 'High Tide at Bristol' key indicator, silvered chapter ring, subsidiary seconds and date aperture, signed Fran's Weller, Bristol, the case with dentil cornice and blind fret carved frieze above a long trunk door and panelled base on ogee bracket feet, 222cm high/see illustration Condition Report: The case has been restored and re-polished, locks and hinges replaced and hood pillar capitals and bases re-gilded. Interior re-blocked and one leg is loose but present. The face and movement have been restored, the chapter ring replaced and spandrels re-gilded, the moon dial repainted and the ratchets for the same replaced. There is no subsidiary pointer for the tides. There is a painted pointer on the moon dial; the ratchet on the striking train not working therefore fully unwound. The seat board is not original.

Regency bracket clock with painted circular dial, signed - Wynn, Dean Street, London, double-fusee movement striking on a bell with engraved back plate, in brass inlaid mahogany case with brass pineapple finial, gilt brass side carrying handles and pierced brass side grilles, on gilt ball feet, 49cm high x 25cm wide - with original brass inlaid mahogany wall bracket and key and pendulum CONDITION REPORT General overall condition a little tired, movement is reasonably clean but we are unable to confirm if it is in full working order. Back plate engraving is quite good but plate itself has major casting faults. Mounting brackets have been bent to fit. Dial is dirty and worn, some damage round edge and winding holes, signature worn. Case is dirty, inlaid brass work has been lacquered and default to see if damaged. Veneer is cracked in places and corners are damaged. Back door and surrounding casework has been repaired. Side fret silks have been backed with brown paper

Victorian carved oak casket of Shakespearian interest, the hinged stepped cover relief carved with Shakespeare's coat of arms and relief carved with oak leaves to the sides, the reverse incised 'Oak from Shakespeare's Barn at New Place, J. Marshall, Carver, Stratford on Avon, 1863', 22cm wide. N.B. A Similar casket by J. Marshall was sold by Sotheby's London 13 July 2006. Lot 102. Hammer Price £7,200. John Marshall was a registered shop owner at 21 Chapel St. between 1850s and 1880s describing himself as a 'Carver Upholsterer and House Decorator' (in an 1854 Directory), 'Curious Dealer' (1874) and a 'Dealer of Antique Furniture and Curios' (1884). The shop was next door to Nash's House. One time residence of Thomas Nash, who was Shakespeare's granddaughter's husband, the house next to that was 'New Place', Shakespeare's house, which he bought in 1597. In 1759 the new owner, The Rev. Francis Gastrell caused consternation by demolishing the New Place property, including the barn and famous mulberry tree. John Marshall was well known for using wood acquired from these sources for carved souvenirs. His Obituary reads 'Mr Marshall also had many opportunities of acquiring wood that was in different ways associated with Shakespeare, which he occasionally made into such articles as caskets, etc and many are now possessed by eminent persons in all parts of the World'
