Jackanory, The Treasure of Dubarry Castle Gareth Floyd (b.1940) Eleven original hand drawn illustrations for the Children's BBC TV Series. The Treasure of Dubarry Castle Part 4 - An iron door and a secret passage, written and read by Lindsay Brown, Broadcast 15-Nov-79, ink and watercolour on board, all 40 x 55 cms, signed to front, all unframed. Jackanory was a BBC Children's Television Series that ran from 1965-1996. The stories were generally illustrated with pictures drawn by distinguished illustrators including Quentin Blake, Gareth Floyd and Barry Wilkinson. Presenters included Tom Baker, Dudley Moore, Ian McKellen, Spike Milligan and Rik Mayall.Gareth Floyd worked on the series for nearly 15 years. The whole collection comprises over 1,200 illustrations, which have been consigned to this auction by the artistAll sizes are approximate.
