A part early 19th Century mahogany cased 8 day musical moon roller Long Case Clock signed George Monks of Prescott, the arched hood surmounted by three turned urn shaped finials over swan neck pediment, with reverse painted and gilt highlighted glazed frieze with arched door flanked by reeded free standing columns with gilt metal mounts, to an ogee throat over a shell inlaid frieze, to reeded quarter columns, flanking a shaped long trunk door, to a plinth base with canted and reeded corners, on bracket feet, the 14” arched brass dial surmounted by a signed and silvered strap over a painted moon phases with cast and applied scrolling foliate spandrels to a Roman and Arabic chapter ring with inside date ring, to a later matted centre with sunk subsidiary seconds and blued steel hands, to an associated three train movement, the plates united by four heavy plain pillars with anchor escapement and strike on 8 bells and a coiled gong, height 96”
