A 19th Century Biedermeier three part birds eye maple and ash veneered secretaire. The upper section with stepped serpentine cornice flanked by draught turnings, the concave centric door flanked by bowed side doors, figured cylinder revealing sliding writing surface and fully fitted interior of drawers and cupboards. RICHARD HORNBY OF OLDHAM; a 19th century oak cased longcase clock, the brass dial with applied filigree decoration to each corner and central moon phase, set with Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds dial, height 204cm.Additional InformationThe right segment is loose and could be glued back in place, though there would still be a split, re: general condition, not tested and there is no guarantee of working order, some quite heavy marks and blackening to the dial, hands probably replaced, spandrels similarly replaced, the glazed door to the movement possibly replaced again, there is a matching colour to the columns, this feels quite heavily varnished, there is the additional usual general wear and tear throughout with some chips, loss to mouldings, tarnish to brass, scuffs and scrapes, the right hand column is very loose in its fitting, the visible part of the moon phase also appears very dirty.
An Arts & Crafts oak wardrobe, with two panelled doors with lead glazed sections flanking a central mirrored panel, raised on block supports, width 189cm.Additional InformationGeneral wear throughout with some chips, indents, gouges, etc, particularly to the lower sections and with some further deep scratches to the upper left where the surface colour has been lost. The right door is loose and does not appear to close firmly. Some scratches to the mirror and some tarnishing to the metal work. Further general wear, scuffs scratches and abrasions.

General wear throughout, some small nicks, gouges, rubbing to the finish, veneer losses, scratches, indentations, etc, particularly to the corners and edges and lower section. Also mould to the interior and it stands at a tilted angle to the left.
HOWARD & SONS; a Victorian pitch pine drop leaf side table, with single cupboard door modelled as two drawers raised on faux bamboo legs to brass caps and castors, stamped to the cupboard door, height 71cm, width with flaps down 41.5cm, depth 42cm.Additional InformationThe whole piece is quite loose in construction, wear and tear to the top with scratches, indentations, nicks and gouges. The top is also a little faded compared to the leaves. There are scuffs and scrapes throughout including the legs as expected.

", late 19th century, hand-coloured lithograph depicting a wintry scene of a man outside a house door, the door opening to reveal an angry wife with candle and hot poker, door hinge slightly splitting, short closed tear at foot of door frame, left edge with short closed tear and small surface loss, margins somewhat dust-soiled with some minor marks, 29 x 22.5 cm (11.25 x 8.75 ins), and 6 others similar, including: a Spooner's Protean View (no. 2, A Snow Scene); an early 20th century moveable depicting a woman, with a man over her knees, a lever operating her hand spanking him; a mid 20th century articulated Dancing Charlie, and 3 20th century volvelles, depicting British Warplanes, Europe-at-a-glance (3rd edition), and North and South America at-a-glance (Qty: 13)

"On a sudden the door opened, and a droll-looking little man hobbled in", 1910, pen, ink & watercolour, depicting Rumpelstiltskin doffing his feathered cap to the miller's daughter, who sits before a spinning wheel surrounded by sheaves of straw, a make-shift red curtain pinned at the diamond lattice pane, and a scuttering mouse in the foreground, signed and dated lower left, 22.5 x 15 cm (8.75 x 6 ins), mounted, framed and glazed (Qty: 1)NOTESProvenance: From the artist's studio and thence by descent.
