Fine French Louis XVI kingwood, ormolu and fine porcelain mounted commode with breakfront white marble top and three flush frieze drawers and central deep drawer flanked by cupboards and female bust-headed projecting columns on shaped supports, 165cm wide x 65cm deep x 87cm high CONDITION REPORT Period - late 18th century/early 19th Century. Good original conditon. Marble top has a break. Some splitting and lifting of veneers on right hand door. Split to veneer on central door. Some small pieces of veneer missing
George III mahogany bureau bookcase, the upper section with dentil cornice and adjustable shelves enclosed by pair of astragal glazed doors, candle slides below, the base with well-figured hinged fall, enclosing fitted interior above central panelled cupboard door flanked by reeded column concealed compartments, having four long graduated drawers below, on bracket feet, 108cm wide x 63cm deep x 213cm high
Good early 18th century walnut bureau cabinet, the upper section with broken arch concave moulded pediment centred by gilt ball finial, enclosed by mirrored door with interior of short drawers and shelves, the base with sloping fall enclosing fitted interior of drawers and pigeonholes about central concave section with well below and two short over two long graduated drawers, restorations, 104cm wide x 58cm deep x 237cm high CONDITION REPORT Mirrored plate appears to be replacement although it is old. Various losses to cornice mouldings and splits to cornice. Back board to upper have been strengthened lopers probably replaced. New baize to fitted interior. Possibly reveneered elements and restorations. Replaced bracket feet overall various splits, veneer losses and replacements some elements possibly later, splits to sides
Late Victorian travelling clock with French timepiece movement with lever escapement, circular white enamel dial with Roman numerals, in a silver carriage clock-style case with scroll handle, on four bun feet (London 1895), maker - B. C. D., underside and inside rear door stamped - A. Barrett & Sons, 63 and 64 Piccadilly London, 10cm overall height CONDITION REPORT General overall condition good. silver case has some minor scratching and denting, feet are distorted, one damaged. Hallmarks nibbled but legible. Interior of back door is scratched where winding key hits it. front glass is scratched and enamel dial is scratched in its centre. Movement does not sit centrally in the case and we are unable to confirm if it is in full working order
